We needed a lamp that could sit behind a bed and provide light above the bed.  This lamp provides those needs.  We also need a lamp that can be controlled by remote.  The remote provides all the functions of the lamp within reach.   Now the lamp is perfect.  It can be turned down low, you can adjust incrementally or light the whole room up.  It is perfect for our needs.  There were other lamps out their but this was the most affordable and we are glad we found it at Walmart!

Purchased for 93 year old mother. She has remote on bedside table for middle of night trips to restroom. Easy to hit a button for the nightlight feature so she can see without tripping. She loves the different light levels for what she needs. Great purchase!

Great Purchase!

The lamp took no more than 10-15 minutes to assemble ( has directions).  I would suggest that you assemble it close to where you are going to put it because the base is a little heavy and because of the height. Love that it has a remote control with different light  settings. Can position the lamp head  in 360 degree angles. Can be attached to the pole because of the magnetic field from the pole. Bought it for my mom and she loves it.

Christmas gift to mom

I love this lamp! It was a little tricky getting assembled but it is so worth the money!
The light is awesome - you can have it bright if you are reading or working on your laptop and dimmer when watching tv...
It gets a five star rating!

The whole family just loves the look of this light. Oh, thanks for pre-assembling 4 of the eight screws at the factory. I saw that one customer didn't realize that the 4 screws that were missing were actually already pre-assembled and you only have to screw the r emaining 4 screws into the lamp fixture. Awesome product that looks Great and works flawlessly!!!

So Cool!!!

I put it together by myself which is an accomplishment for me. I got to the last thing. Hang the lamp shade %26 the socket ring to do that was missing. I had no problem ordering another and returning the other to the Walmart store. Love the lamp. Works for what I wanted it for. I recently put an island in my kitchen. I moved my kitchen table to a section in my living room. The lamp goes perfectly over the table for light. Very happy with my purchase.

Not as tall as advertised. I had to put the base up on blocks to get it to the height I wanted and that was advertised.  Not bad quality though and easy to put together. I don't like that when the power goes out and comes back on the light turns on and stays on until you turn it off.  Remote is nice but it seems to only work with that specific light bulb. I tried putting in a different light bulb and the remote didn't work. Wish the remote was paired to the fixture not the light bulb.

Good light with some cons

Impossible to put the screws (directions say 8 enclosed, only rec'd 4) in the pole!!! Screws are so small had to use tweezers to pick them up %26 put in hole on the poles, once sitting in the hole used the smallest allen wrench i have ever seen (provided) to try to screw it in...it would NOT grab or thread in the hole! After numerous attempts (1 hour later) %26 trying to find the screws on the floor after they continuously seemingly jumped out of the entirety too small hole that it was supposed to go in, I gave up~extremely frustrated!!! Was going to return it, but that's not easy to do with Wal-Mart online purchases! Ended up assembling it WITHOUT THE SCREWS!! So far it's staying together and upright, so fingers crossed it continues to do so.  The light itself is fantastic, love the remote and its many different settings that actually work just as the description promises, even the different hues...love it now!! Just hope it doesn't fall apart on my head while im laying on my couch a month from now. ZERO stars for assembly 5 stars for lamp after assembly.

Very modern light, love the style. It's very easy to push behind my sectional to keep the base hidden and out of the way. Definitely a space saver. 
Quality also seems great. I've had it for a few months now and moved it multiple times. 
Con- the remote does not work. I inserted brand new batteries in it and it's faulty. This is a big deal for me considering I need the convenience of turning it on and off remotely as I previously mentioned I pushed my light behind my sectional. It's a bit annoying to reach behind to turn it on and off. Had the remote worked properly this would be a 5 star item.

Great light - remote doesn't work

It's not 81 inches! 
It's only 73 inches to the top of the arc, and 66 inches to the top of the lampshade.
