I think he'll love it. It looks really nice. I love that the seat goes up and down. I really like this bike.

i have not put the bike together yet. i love the look but wish they had cheaper options for bigger bike sizes. my 6 yr old is between sizes but i had to pay a lot more for a tiny bit taller
