This desk is a great design for the limited space I have available. I love that I can adjust it to face in many different directions and then put it back to take up less space. Also it's very sturdy. If you think about buying this desk, I would recommend it.

Love This Unique Desk

The desk is very nice, and I like that it splits off as it does where you can make it one long desk or two smaller desks. It has 3 shelves on the lower small side. The top of those 3 shelves doesn't have a lot of room. So I keep my mousepad/mouse, security system for cameras (it's a small router type) along w/a few knick knacks. One the 2nd shelf I have an hp jet printers, and a couple of books. the 3rd shelf holds my paperwork, a basket w/my coloring supplies and a few more books. The top shelf that is able to be moved to the side to make long or two parts. I have my computer that sits on a 2 drawer shelf that holds my pens/pencils/stapler/staples, ink pens/paper clips. then I have my cricut machine sitting on the end of it which.... I can't use due to no space so it's still too small to do any "real work" with as far as the size of the desk. I live in a very small home, so once we move. I'll upgrade to a larger work station but this for now. Works great :)

Small but good

I love that it doesn't scratch up. I can sit cold drinks on it and it doesn't ruin the surface. It seems virtually indestructible! I love the different ways I can arrange it, it is perfect in a corner of the master bedroom since I now work from home. I love that the back is open and I can reach the outlet. Very pleased with this purchase. I highly recommend.

Versatile

First let me say, that whomever put the directions together... BRAVO! This was incredibly easy to follow. I had two people for assembly, but with the organization of the instructions, I could have done it alone. The color that I purchased was like a coffee almost looks black. I was really expecting this to be flimsy and expected foreign instructions loke a lot of other items previously purchased. It was very refeshing to have something that was not complicated and looks amazing! I would definitely purchase again.

This allows me to work in a corner of my living room and neatly put everything away when I am finished. This was a great solution which is functional and attractive.

Create an organized and attractive art "studio"

I had been searching weeks for the perfect desk and was skeptical about purchasing this as it was a big purchase without seeing it in person. I was very surprised and am beyond pleased with the purchase. First off, the assembly process was incredibly straight forward and even included a screwdriver (thank you!!!!) - every piece was labeled down to the screws. IKEA needs to get some lessons from you

This allows me to work in a corner of my living room and neatly put everything away when I am finished. This was a great solution which is functional and attractive.I only wish both pieces had wheels.

The desktop is 21.5 inches deep, 45.5 inches wide, and 30 inches tall.Each of the two shelves has a 12.25 inch deep part with a 12.5 inch wide back ... and a 13 inch deep open part that is 23 inches wide before you hit its corner post. The corner posts are 9.875 inches apart and run another 3 inches of width until you reach the end of that shelf. Both shelves are 11.375 inches high.The top of the shelves has a little over two inches in height before it reaches the top of the tabletop so you can slide a think book or portfolio in there, a clipboard, a ruler, something of that type.Note that because the desk rotates, you have to allow 2.5 inches from the back of the desk to the wall for it to complete its rotation (there is therefore at least that much space behind most of the desk where you can put some long flat things if you have any in mind, such as a folding chair).You also have to allow 2.5 inches on the side of the desk where the wheels are for it to be able to clear the wall or other item of furniture and complete its rotation. On the side of the desk where the rotating hinge is you'll have to allow 6.25 inches at the widest point for it to complete its rotation. It works well in the limited space in my bedroom and lets my boyfriend roll it away we're not using it.Note that the shelves part is on glides, not casters. Only the end of the desk part has casters (you can lock them in place). So wherever you use it, for convenience, plan on having the bookshelf part in a set location and just swinging the desk out when you want it.Note that one person *could* put this together and the directions are good. However, to put the rotating hinge on, which requires using a screwdriver (included! all tools you need are included) to hold the bolt while you tighten the nut from below, it is helpful to have a second set of hands for that part.Personally, I would have preferred the dark brown wood color with black metal, but my boyfriend liked the lighter oak color with white legs and now that I see it in the room, I do too. You can't go wrong with either! If this looks like an aesthetically pleasing practical desk for you, I highly recommend it. It's what we hoped it would be.Bonus: this desk arrived days earlier than was promised.

Great desk w. 2 shelves & desktop that easily rolls away! Looks snappy. Straightforward to assemble.

This table is good but in last step of assembling there are 2 different set of similar looking screws. Those can be easily swapped. 
Same happened to me causing hole in table. Guide need add caution or they need to change length of last two screws. Now I cannot return or sell this and new am frustrated with its current state.

Assembly is need update

Sadly, I am disappointed and will probably return this unit for a refund this week.

I am familiar with this style of portable unit. The package arrived in good shape. After a careful installation, I let the unit stand for 48 hours before turning it on. The instructions only require 24 hours but I try to take better care of my stuff.

This was rated at 12,000BTU and needs over 11 amps. It replaced my previous portable Haier AC unit of the same style which was rated at 10,000 BTU and needed 8.9 amps. 

* The Haier seemed to do a better job at cooling the same space.  The Homcom unit only has roughly half of the width of the grille area open to try to accomplish the same job.

* The air outlet hose was shorter than the  Haier unit so I had to make a wooden box and prop it up to reach the window. It would have been really nice to have another 1 foot of air outlet hose. 

* With a set of fresh batteries, the remote does not reach the unit very well and I need to bounce the signal off of the ceiling. The characters used on both the control panel and the remote screen are very small and very difficult to see for a senior citizen or anyone who needs to use reading glasses.

* Contrary to the manual, my unit does not remember settings in the cooling mode after being turned off by the remote. Since the remote does not reach well, I have to walk over and manually turn it on and set the mode and fan speed every time I want to use it. 

* Although advertised for 550 sq. ft. It does a reasonable (but not a great job) of cooling a 314 sq. ft. space on a late summer/early fall day, in my north woods cabin. It has to work hard to bring the  temperature down from 79 degrees to 72 degrees for a small living room, vestibule area  and kitchen with an outdoor temperature of 76 degrees.

* The drain tubing arrived kinked in two spots and I have made a few attempts to straighten it out but it keeps going back to that kinked position. I have had to mop up the floor.

This might be a good option for a garage or a work shed; I was excited about it originally but sadly, it is not meeting my needs.

Sadly, I am a little disappointed. . . .
