Purchase

I purchased with the Gymax 4 piece base.  According to the instructions for the base, the bottom cross bar of the umbrella is supposed to have holes drilled horizontally to fit pins that hold the plastic base pieces in place.  But there are no such holes.  I contacted customer service and their response was "if there are proper holes you can use them, but if not then you don't need to use them".  What kind of response is that?  Don't they have a quality control department?  Bad design and lousy customer service.  Had my husband drill the holes that should have been there in the first place.
