Quality

I am not an electrician but as part of my role I have to build a lot of prototypes. Historically I've sourced electrical boxes from the usual N.American suspects. I've never been happy with the quality of the boxes for the price I've paid and I bought this box because I've been accumulating various Vevor tools and I've been happy with what I've received. I really enjoyed building this box out because they give you a backplane which is easily removable and sits on beefy copper threaded studs. And they ground the door at the factory to save you the trouble Building on this removable plate made things sooooo easy and mistakes are easily fixed without having to drill the exterior of the box. I replaced the lower, removable plate with a perforated sheet because I needed venting, not sealing. This box is not CSA approved so you cannot use it in exterior applications in a situation where you need CSA certification but for indoor purposes you get a solid box for a good price.

Excellent quality. Excellent price. Works well as a home for VFD that I  nstalled on wood lathe.  No fan required for cooling so VFD is completely protected from dust. Box is large enough that acts as a heat sink and VFD remains cool.
