We plugged in the fireplace before mounting it on the wall and noted three concerns.  The heating fan was uncomfortably loud, a motor driven device that caused the flames to flicker was rubbing and causing noise with each revolution and one of the screens covering an intake was misshapen, looking like it was too big for the opening and had been forced into place.  For these reasons we immediately began a return process.
