We purchased this for our cat. He fit in there perfectly (about the same size as a small dog). He seemed comfortable for the most part. There is an insert for the bottom with a layer of fluffy material. 
the materials that it is made of seem pretty sturdy but only used it once at this time.

Perfect for sizes stated, giving the dog or cat two sides to look out for curiosity and 2 long sides and top and bottom of privacy to reduce anxiety and a comfy pad to reduce imbalance by kitty laying on it.  My kitty of 16 pounds road either by the handle or the shoulder strap comfortably.  :)

AMAZING! bought this on a crunch and it works perfectly! super sturdy, it's not completely blacked out and not completely open which I think is phenomenal for anxious animals. it's definitely for smaller pets like an adult cat would be max capacity.

BUY IT

It is easy to carry with either hand straps or an adjustable shoulder strap.  It's easy to put the pet in with a zippered door on the front or on the top.  It has a plush base that makes it more comfortable for the pet to be in. 

When I opened mine up, my cat claimed it.  She laid herself down in it and pretty much stayed there for two days.  It made going to the vet a much easier trip.

Cat loved it.

I ordered this to be delivered on a last minute urgent basis and was very pleasantly surprised at the size and quality of this carrier.   I have a large/tall Bengal cat (18 pounds) and she went right in and slept comfortably in the carrier no problem.

love the carrier, the 12 pound puppy i have just does fit in....bit sge does and it works for what we needed short term only....

This was a replacement carrier for one I had for about eight years, and it's just as well made and durable. It has zippered openings on both the end and the top, making it easy to get your pet in and out. The mesh venting provides great airflow, and the solid board bottom adds structure and is covered with a soft wool lining. The only improvement I would suggest is adding a Velcro wrap to secure the handles together—my previous bag had this feature, and I miss it.

Durable, Well-Made Carrier—Almost Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Price and quality are fine. But this was smaller than the 16lbs limit cuz it was substituted for a smaller, 12lb limit bag.  I needed the bigger size and when the option to check the substitution came up. It didn't let me see the size.  Just said the same name as the product I wanted. That was on the website side.  I had no choice but to keep the bag cuz I needed to use it ASAP to get my pet to the vet.

it works for kittens that are not strong enough to bust the zippers. my cat scratched his nose up pushing on the zippers untill he broke free. not really effective if you want to keep them contained, considering theres several spots where he can brake the zipper.

Zipper Bust

Horrible product. The pad is not water proof and inside the pad is a board that is not waterproof also. The first time we used it the cat peed within 15 minutes on ride home and it ran out of the poorly made carrier and all over my wife's lap and down into the seat. On top of that the pad cover is not absorbent at all and the bottom edges are also mesh. Nothing to hold pee in the thing. Not sure I can use it now that urine soaked in the board and without the board it's pretty useless. Do not buy.
