A dermatologist recommended this to me, and it seems to be lightening my dark spots. I've been using it daily for a while now. The bottle comes with a dropper, so you can control how much product you apply. It goes on smoothly and absorbs into the skin with ease.

I have been using this serum for over two weeks now. I have always had problems with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. 

I use this serum in the morning, and when I get home from work. In the evenings I have my prescription grade retinol. 
Overall my skin looks so smooth, all the dark blotchy marks I had on my left cheek have faded hugely! Love this serum and will continue it long term. 

I have had no adverse effects. This is probably the best product I have used so far to tackle my dark marks.

This product takes off thin layers of skin very lightly. Creams can't do it. I use it gradually and with care, I'll be completely removing the dark patches on my face and body. Gentle to skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to receive this product for free from the La Roche Posay community in exchange for my honest review. 
I have been using the Mela B3 serum for several weeks now and so far I am very impressed with the results. 
The bottle is easy to hold and the serum is very simple to apply. I also like that it sinks straight into your skin without leaving a sticky residue.
I can see a huge difference already in my dark spots as they have lightened massively and I can also see a big difference in the overall tone and appearance of my skin. The colour looks much more balanced now and the hyperpigmentation is much less noticeable.
Overall, I am really impressed with this serum and am excited to see the continuing improvements in the results from it in the future.

Fabulous for reducing dark spots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Background: I've been using the La Roche-Posay MELA B3 intense anti-dark spot serum almost 2 weeks now.
Routine: Twice a day (day & night) along with moisturiser and SPF.
Skin Type: Dry, prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmented spots
Serum Pros:
• Good consistency
• Applies and absorbs easily on skin, feels smooth and hydrating
• Face feels brighter overall
• Smells great! Fresh and citrusy (Grapefruit?)
• Nice colour
Serum Cons:
• I've been using for roughly 2 weeks, so unable to comment on the effect on hyperpigmentation (especially post-inflammatory marks). I personally haven't noticed big changes in the specific areas of hyperpigmentation even though I noticed overall brightness. It usually takes ~6 weeks of usage to notice real differences so with 2 weeks of usage, there is minimal result for hyperpigmented spots.
• Retail price is a little on the higher side
Packaging**:
Pros:
• Beautiful purple bottle, looks amazing
• Dropper pressure/width suitable for serum consistency 
• Easy to use
Cons:
• Serum prone to dripping down the side especially when reinserting dropper back into the bottle. (Can see dried serum on the neck of the bottle in my pics because of this).
Adding a rubber stopper to the bottle could stop the excess serum from coming out on the outer surface of the dropper.

Overall Impression:
I really like this serum, it feels luxurious on the skin. If it does what it says on the tin and I can see results in a few more weeks time, then I'd recommend it. But as it stands, I'd have to give it 4 stars ☆☆☆☆, especially considering the price.

Love the texture

Mela B3 Serum is anti-hyperpigmentation serum that was developed to target the appearance of dark spots, post acne marks, etc.

The serum is a peachy pink in colour & has a very strong sweet scent. 

I has a very light light silky texture & is super absorbent. It absorbs into the skin with in seconds, leaving no sticky/greasy reduce.  I also works well with other products. 

I've been using around 3 drops twice a day in my face and neck.  Concentrating  more on areas that I have uneven skin tone, post acne marks  & sunspots.  

Since using I have seen a huge difference in the appearance of my sun spots & It has slightly improved my post acne marks.  
I really love how quickly it absorbs and gives me a more even skin tone .  My skin feels so soft & smooth since using giving me a more even complexion. 

Downfall; for me though the one thing that is really of putting is the scent it's too over powering and  just lingers for hours. At first I loved it but due to it lingering it kinda made me feel sick, because it's  so strong. I usually don't mind scented products so this has really surprised me inthink it's because it's so sweet and lingers. 

Apart from the scent I really loved the serum & love the results.  So will continue to use but unsure if I would purchase again because of the scent!

Seen results but the scent was too much!

I'm not really sure if it's original, the box doesn't contain the transparent stickers and it doesn't say made in France.
