This Oral B Pro 1000 toothbrush works just great. It has three speed levels. I use the fastest oscillation level -- this may be too strong for some of you -- but it's great for me. Every so often, however, my teeth and gums are a bit sensitive. When this occurs, the slower toothbrush speed is appreciated since the toothbrush is more gentle at the slower speeds.

I also like that it has a small blinking light while it's charging. The base model Oral B toothbrush does not.

I also like that I can use my generic toothbrush heads from Amazon.com. I have a lot of them. This Oral B Pro 1000 toothbrush device still uses the original Oral B toothbrush heads. In contrast, the more expensive upscale Oral B IO models use a completely different toothbrush head. That means you have to buy the more expensive IO toothbrush heads for the IO models. I don't want to sound too cynical, but I feel it's just another way for Oral B to make more money -- the way Apple forces you to get new chargers and replace as much as possible with every new iPhone you purchase. Newer doesn't always mean better. Sometimes, it just means more expensive.

But not for this basic, original, but highly efficient model. The Oral B Pro 1000 is a very good efficient toothbrush.

I have been using an Oral B Electric Toothbrush for at least a decade.  It is the best for getting teeth really clean and your guns really healthy.  
While the toothbrush doesn't last forever, it does last a verylong time before the need to buy a replacement.
I would recommend the Oral B to anyone!

Best Electric Toothbrush

I am extremely happy with this toothbrush the strength and clean I got on my first use was great. I really wasn't looking to buy an overly expensive toothbrush and this one seemed perfect. The cross action bristles on the brush head are great and seem to get in every crevice, my teeth feel super clean. I'm trying to maintain better oral health for myself and this was a great improvement over my last electric toothbrush.

I had been looking for an electric toothbrush after asking my dentist for advice on a new brush.  He told me Oral B was a good brand %26 I wanted one with a spinning head (pretty sure the commercials I always see had some influence lol). INITIALLY I was determined to get one of the Oral B iO brushes; however, they're VERY pricey. After a lot of frustration around the iO being so expensive, my friend linked me to this brush.  It had the spinning brush head like I wanted %26 it came in pink (strangely finding iO brushes in any color besides white or black is difficult, despite other colors being available at some point or another).

Since I had been so wound up about getting an iO I was pretty skeptical about this brush, but I was definitely wrong and I'm so glad!

compared to the iO models I'd been looking at, I spent about half to ONE THIRD of the prices iOs are being sold for. 

The brush comes with 1 replaceable head, a charging stand that needs to be plugged into the wall,  and the brush base (which is pink %26 white yay!).
It has 3 spinning speeds and it also has a helpful pressure awareness thing that stops the brush from spinning if you're pressing down too hard while brushing. 

I am really pleased with this toothbrush despite it not having all of the extra bells and whistles I had been wanting from the iO.
I will admit that I was very intrigued by the app/phone connectivity with the iO, but the price was just too much (and finding a good sale or coupon seemed pretty much impossible 😔).

The main thing I wish this brush had come with was a travel case or a travel cover for the brush head as I travel frequently. 
Sadly a regular travel cap for a toothbrush does NOT fit - so I've resorted to using a ziploc bag until I find something better suited for the job😂

All in all, I give this brush a 10/10 for giving my mouth an incredibly clean feeling every time I brush - no added features necessary. 

If you're like me and indecisive, this is a good toothbrush that does a great job cleaning your teeth and giving you a squeaky clean mouth feel by the time you're finished brushing. 

One day I may get a second electric brush so I have one for home %26 one for travel...but right now that isn't necessary and I'm PLEASANTLY surprised with the quality of this one. 

Despite the lower price when compared to their newer "smart" brushes, I'm sure that if you take your time brushing this will do just as good a job as their others %26 save you anywhere from $50-$100 (or more-I wasn't looking at newest iO models).

Hope this is helpful to anyone else who may be on the fence after seeing how much the newer brushes go for.  I don't think you'll be disappointed 😊

Had Been Indecisive- Why Did I Wait so Long to Buy

I don't have the easiest time recommending this item. At first, the battery life is great, but after probably a year of owning this, the toothbrush is pretty much tied to the charger. I might get three toothbrushings in before the little red light starts to flash, and there is no way to easily replace the battery.

Honestly, if they could make it so the bottom of it unscrews and you can swap out the battery, this thing would last forever.

It works great until the battery starts to fail.

I had the pro 1000 previously and purchased this one to replace it.  My old pro 1000 had ridges on the handle and the button to turn it on and off had a slight color for better visibility so that it was much easier to differentiate the on/off button and it was easier to hold and turn.  This one is completely smooth and all white which I don't really like.   I purchased the pro 1000 versus the pro 500 because I like the variable speeds that it offers.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Terrible remake of the original model. (1) There is no grip; your hand slides easily on the handle, rather than gripping. (2) The worst part is the Off switch. I've used the brush 1,000 times and could never press the right spot to turn it off. Just today I figured out that you have to press Off 3 times!! Three times!! Seems like something is also off on the 15 second quadrant vibration. My husband and I both have this same model, so it's not a fluke, rather a flaw. I would buy another brand. Additionally, I've always been a fan of Oral B floss, but that now shreds and the floss always gets lost inside the container.

This model has a slick black coating for the handle making it extremely difficult to hold on to properly.  I've used this product for many years and never had one as slick as this is.  Also it sounds like a very loud lawn mower and is difficult to turn off.  Stay away from this model 3791!

Beware of model %233791

This Oral-B is definitely not like the same as I bought a few years ago.  It is made so cheap.  There is no grip to hold on to and the on and off button is very hard to even find and use.  The timer used to be 2 minutes; this one gives that short stop within less than a minute of use. The actual brushing is fine.  My dentist told me when I bought the last one to make sure to buy the round brushes.  I truly feel my teeth are clean when I am done.

Slippery to use

Only one brush setting despite saying there are 3 in part of the details. Also, the battery life is not as described. After a short weekend trip (Friday evening through Sunday morning) the battery is run down and taking forever to charge. I have had Oral B toothbrushes before and loved them. This is not it.
