Rosemary and Mint Oil was recommended by my hair stylist who caters to Seniors.  We both have an under-active Thyroid (Hypothyroidism)  and the FIRST SIDE EFFECT IS HAIR LOSS.  I used just a few drops at first as recommended and got IMMEDIATE relief from an itchy scalp (that anti-dandruff shampoos never helped.  The next time,  I put MORE  oil on the "itchy areas" and slept in a Cap (don't want that oil to seep into your down pillow).  Aha--that's when I noticed results around that OBVIOUS BEAR SPOT on top and the receding hair line (like my grandfather and father).  The Over-Night Treatment works.  I didn't tell my hair stylist that I was using it, so on my next monthly visit, she was overjoyed with the thick texture and the pure health of my hair.   I'm on my third bottle and will continue this Overnight Cap routine 3x/week.   I LOVE THE MINTY FRAGRANCE.

BEST HAIR AND SCALP TREATMENT

I suffer with clinically diagnosed eczema, and yes, it does affect my scalp as well. Due to certain conditions, it can cause my scalp eczema to flare up badly. Now, I decided to try this product, largely pit of curiosity, because, I wanted to see just how it can truly help in regards to my scalp issues. It is jam packed with a ton of herbal ingredients. I apply it in very, very  small amounts to the scalp, where it is needed the most. No one should be oiling their scalp everyday, for the follicles on our scalp are very tiny and can become easily clogged. If you over oil your scalp, you will end up clogging your scalp's follicles , and that within itself can most definitely lead to hair loss and acne. I only use this product when needed. Not on a weekly basis, but when I do use it, I use it 1 time a week. I use this for major flareups of scalp eczema only.. I use it to spot treat. Our scalp has sebum that is naturally secreted from it that is to be left to do it's natural job, properly flow down the hair shaft Also, hair oils do not speed up your hair growth's  cycle. The only time ones hair stops growing out of one's scalp follicles is when the scalp follicle becomes permanently closed. When your hair follicle is still open and hair is growing out of it, to see your hair thrive and grow to it's fullest potential, this will only happen if one's overall hair care regimen, hair care practices, and overall diet best support such. This oil mixture here is nothing more than a “treatment oil”, which can be used either on the scalp, hair or both,  If you are not dealing with an actual scalp condition, it is best to apply this oil towards the ends of one's hair to help aid in keeping your ends from splitting, which further helps with hair length retention overall. It is not a miracle hair growth oil. It should not be bought for such. When it is used, it should be used very sparingly only. For there is nothing wrong with hair oils themselves, but instead how people properly/correctly use them is what truly makes a world of difference. Your hair and scalp has a built in moisturizer, it is called once again the natural sebum that secrets out and down the scalp's follicles down the hair shaft. If you don't comb or brush your hair regularly on a day to day basis, YES, that does work against the sebum being able to properly flow down the hair shaft like it is naturally supposed to do. Plus, if you are just oiling your scalp daily and not combing or brushing it daily too while in a wash n go state, or in a protective style, your only working to clog up your scalp's follicles and cause such to lead to an over production of yeast on your scalp, that can lead to scalp infections, major hair loss over time that can lead to balding occurring. Hair follicles that become temporarily blocked can be restored. Hair follicles that become permanently closed off, due to any reason, cannot be restored. Maintaining a healthy scalp environment is SUPER essential always.

I have very dry type B3 curls and this has helped me so much! It's not only helped me keep longer healthier hair, but has helped me grow and regrow parts of my hair I didn't think would come back. 
Would not recommend if u don't at least have dry hair cause it's definitely something that could leave your hair oily.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE!

It works very nicely it makes my scalp feel fresh and clean and you have to be sure to massage it in I don't have curls so I don't know how it works for people who do,but on my straight hair that's damaged and needs help repair this item has been working well for me,of course when you do apply it you will feel a little tingle but it's nice and refreshing.

Good product

My wife ordered this for her eyebrows as she read that it works on eyebrows too and it did after using/applying it every day for 2 months!  Did not write a review on this product earlier as she wanted to give it time to see whether it works.  She loves the scent of it too!  A little goes a long way!  Will order it again when she runs out for sure!

Great Product That Works!!!  And Smells Good Too!!

My hair is growing! I use a scalp massager first, put it on my scalp and massage it in. I place a small towel in the microwave for 30 seconds and wrap my head up for 20 minutes and wash it out. Feels great!

I had read about rosemary oil being effective in stimulating new hair growth. I've been applying it to my hair and scalp and can already see results.  A neighbor commented on how much longer my hair is getting. 💜

This hair and scalp oil is excellent. I was experiencing thinning hair in the area of my temples and this oil has helped my hair grow back stronger and thicker. It also provides moisture and locks in hydration. I like the smell and texture of this product.

Excellent Hair Oil

I've been using this for a while and I like the smell, it is natural rosemary. It can be overpowering once you put it all over your scalp, so I'd recommend putting this on the same day before you go out somewhere. 

This makes my split ends soft and my braids shiny, smelling good. 

I don't understand where the “Tingle” is coming from because I never had such thing when first applying it. You only get a tingle if you put too much and I have done so before. This stuff is potent and you need to becareful.

And if you got the worlds most sensitive scalp then maybe try their light version, or find something because this work for me and make my hair, and edges grow. Do it correctly.

Honest Review: Mielle Hair Oil

I actually don't use the way the bottle says I put it on two to three times a month I've seen great growth in my hair where I was losing it but I leave mine on overnight I am purchasing their shampoo this week to try it and their conditioner fingers crossed but I am so impressed with this product I highly recommend it....

It's a lot of ingredients that could have caused an allergic reaction. I will opt for something more simple. If you have eczema, I recommend passing on this one. I got bamboozled by the marketing. I have been looking for a nice, fancy oil for a while. Just goes to show that natural and clean ingredients doesn't always mean it's 100% going to work for you. It depends on what you're looking for, but as someone with sensitive skin sometimes the less natural products are better at reducing the likelihood of flare-ups and reactions, ironically and unfortunately. Perhaps Mielle could create a product for those with sensitivities. I like the dropper a lot, but I worry it causes dripping from the scalp down. When applied to the ear it dribbled down onto the cheek and ear which is where the reaction occurred. I grappled with returning it, but ultimately I decided it's not worth using something that if dripped down onto the sensitive facial skin can cause a hot sensation and bright redness. It may be the concentration of tea tree oil, as upon doing my research that is possible. Using my own mix of coconut oil and tea tree oil had no problems but then again that's not going to dribble due to the nature of the oil and the application method being different. I was trying to do something easier than mixing oil up myself. I have decided that since it hasn't helped reduce flaky scalp at all, except for the immediate and non permanent visual effect of having oil on the scalp. Might as well opt for some baby oil at that point because it's a simple oil with less complicated formulation and potentially allergenic/flare up inducing ingredients.
