[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 4 dogs and mainly wood floor with a few area rugs. This vacuum sucks up dog fur on both surfaces really well. I normally use the lowest settings and for my 800 sq ft home, i can get a good 3-4 runs with the vacuum. Charging is also quick.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new vacuum. Light weight, quite and efficient. Works great for everyday messes my 2 year old makes. Easy to store. Doesn't take up a lot of space. Easy to clean. I would recommend this product.

Wow cleans just as well as my corded vacuum. Picks up hair on carpet! & The battery lasts pretty long. The only neg is the cup is small. Cleaning the filter is tedious & needs to be changed often. But still good suction- 1 yr later

I find that I can use the wand for baseboards and places that I can't get to with the brush section attached. I also realize after time how very maneuverable the Emerge is under furniture. Also the dual brushes work better than any other vacuum I have had on bare floors. Every bit of dust is caught in the smooth roller that is not difficult to clean. I still find it time consuming and a little messy to clean the dustbin, but am getting used to having to put up with that since it does do such a fine job of cleaning the floors.

I was tempted to try another company's vacuum. I was not especially impressed. Then I saw that Hoover had improved upon the Evolve(that I already like) and also had a new model, the Emerge. I made the decision to get the Emerge to try all of the features including using the hose to reach high places and also the small rotating head attachment that works well on stairs and upholstery . The fact that it is able to stand up is huge. Who wants a vacuum that can't stand up for an even a moment? The double roller works well, especially on smooth floors. The only thing that I am not at all happy with is emptying the dirt bin. Removing the bin is awkward and messy to clean. The Evolve bin is so much easier to clean. I was always impressed at how easy the Evolve was to clean. We live on a farm and I vacuum the downstairs of our house (6 large rooms) every morning. Then I vacuum the back entrance and kitchen once again during the day after dirt has been brought in on the shoes of family members. So I do empty the vacuum a few times a day, making cleaning the messiness of this dust bin a big deal. For that reason, I am disappointed that I didn't make the decision to get the improved version of the EVOLVE, instead of the EMERGE. The foam filter on the Emerge is more difficult to wash than the older filter in the Linx and Evolve and it takes a very long time to dry. Although this vacuum has many nice features, I wish that it was easier to clean. I am still happy with how well the Hoover vacuums pick up dirt, both on smooth floors and carpet. To make life easier I have a vacuum cleaner on each floor of the house and one in the basement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time buying a cordless vacuum. I have had it for about a month now and am very happy with it. I have 4 very young kids, a dog, and we live on a farm. It is used every single day. Sometimes more than once a day. The suction quality is good, not great. However, the convenience and ease of being able to quickly use this vacuum makes up for it in my opinion. It can be pulled out in minutes, is lightweight, compact to store, and has very good battery life. I use this vacuum on mostly hard floors. It does work better on hard floors than carpet. I was searching for a cordless vacuum that could do both floors but especially good for hard floors, so I am happy with it. You are also able to adjust the suction power which is helpful on different floors. The battery life is very good so far. I have a 2700 sq ft house and am usually able to do all of it on one full charge. I LOVE that this vacuum can stand on its own. That is not a feature in all cordless vacuums but was a feature I was specifically looking for. One negative thing that I have to say about this vacuum is that the buttons to detach the head and attachments do not operate very easily. I have a very hard time detaching them and often have to ask my husband for help. He even has a hard time with it. I would suggest Hoover goes back to the drawing board on that part of it, but I am otherwise very happy with the vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would give zero stars if I could. I literally used it twice before the roller brush froze up. I had hoped by spending a little extra that I could get some longevity. I am going to have to figure out how to send the whole thing back now.
