I've tried so many things over the years, but keep coming back to XL. It's just hard to beat. I've found some lines that have slightly better castability, but lack in toughness. I've also found tougher lines that just are too stiff to use in a spinning reel. XL gives me the best of both worlds, and until something comes along that can beat it, this will continue to be on all my spinning reels.

I have been using Trilene it seems like forever. It started back in the early 70's bass fishing here in So. Cal. Now with finesse fishing popular, lite line has to be tough and supple. XL in green is one of the best drop shot neko rig finesse monofilaments around. No need for fluorocarbon unless you have crystal clear water. XL works on both spinning and baitcasting setups with low memory and great knot strength. This line has got to be one of the best values on the market bar none. I'll continue to use this line as long as Berkley markets it.

I have used Berkley Trilene XL exclusively for at least  43 years.  I couldn't even begin to guess how much Trilene XL I have used over my lifetime.  Why?  Because I love fishing. It is simply the best line as far as I'm concerned.  And, I like all of the features this product has to offer.

Great Stuff

For over Twenty Years Now I have been Using Berkley Trilene Xl Low visibility Green To fool Large Wary NYC Reservoir Brown Trout . It is the only line I have found to be Strong and Supple enough to allow a Natural Presentation, With virtually no memory it allows for Tension free Runs Using Baitrunner Style Reels

Berkley Trilene Xl Low Visibility Green

I have been using Trilene XL for 30+ years. I have caught the wiliest mountain brookies on 2lb & 4lb test as well as speed demon steelhead using 6lb & 8lb test. This line may stretch a little more than others but is the only one that remains limp & easy to cast in frigid conditions.

Has stood the test of time

I am retired and fish for bass and trout approximately 100 days/yr and use Trilene XL exclusively on my spinning reels. The 4# low vis green is perfect to throw small cranks, spoons and spinners for trout here in the crystal clear White River tail water below Bull Shoals dam.  XL is a dream to cast on spinning reels, has the stretch needed for setting the hook on light line and a diameter small enough to not affect your lure's action while drift fishing in 4 mph river current.  Excellent strength and knot reliability.

Great casting line

I bought this hoping to get fresh line and not something that has been sitting on the shelf forever in your local store, and was I impressed. It was like casting with silk, so smooth and its the same as what I was getting at the local sporting goods store. The freshest line I have ever used I will only buy direct from now on. Tight Lines+++++++++

The Best

I have been using Trilene line for over 40 years and it has always been dependable. You can trust this line day after day after day. It's the best line on the market.

Dependable

I've been using this line for 27 years and never had a a complaint.
Easiest line to cast, the 6# line is extremely tough and can handle 7+ pound fish without breaking. I'll never change Berkley monofilment for anything else.

Trilene-XL

Day in day out, it's what I use for general purpose bass fish'n when braid or fluoro isn't needed and you want a floating character for slow sinking or top of the water column.   
I like the green color for invisibility and it's fairly tough but limber line.  Haven't  lost any on 14# due to breakage and about the thickest one can go with them being line shy.   Better diameter and castability than XT.   Knots well and lasts at least the days activity and doesn't spool set.   
When they quit making the other Berkeley lines I was using, I went back to trilene XL and have been their ever since.   I buy in bulk.
