This has worked as described. Only used shock once, and it worked to get the dogs attention. But I was thankful that the vibrate setting has been sufficient to do the majority of the training. Light helps find her at night out in the fenced area as well. Overall, very pleased with this collar.

The collar has worked great so far. I haven't only used the beep and vibrate but my dog knows what's coming next from prior experience. It's a nice size collar and remote. I like that you have to hit the correction button once to change the mode and the second delivers the correction. Helps prevent accidental shock. Nice light feature for night. Easy on/off and so far good battery life compared to what I had before.

Nice device so far

Got this collar for my Pyrenees husky mix and it has done wonders on curving the negative behavior so when we added our Australian shepherd to the mix I ordered him one. The behavior has improved remarkably and now they play without biting, they listen even when the prey drive to go after a stray cat is high. We are working on recall off leash now and so far it's going good. Would highly recommend.

Love this collar.

Our dog is still loving and playful, but is no longer terrorizing the house. I am eating right next to her and she's simply chewing on a toy. Before, I could never leave her out of her cage unless I was directly on top of her. I combine verbal commands with either vibration or beeping, and treats. I haven't tried the shock, and I hope I never have to. I don't see how it would shock because there is rubber over the electrodes... Also, it is disappointing to see the amount of people on here who say they bought this to essentially electrocute their dogs simply because they got breeds they have no idea how to handle. Do I know how to handle a gigantic, stubborn dog? Absolutely not, and that's why I got one that fits my abilities. Dogs are a hug decision. For many people, you do need to shop around a lot until you find your friend. You can't walk into a shelter or store and pick up just any dog and expect everything to work out.

Changed dog!

I got this to use to help me retrieve my dog when he runs away. He's a husky and a runner and won't listen once he gains his freedom. Haven't had to use it for that purpose yet but have used it to get his attention when he's being stubborn and not coming. Works very well! So far I haven't had to use the shock on him yet, just a beep and if he doesn't listen to the beep then we use the vibrate mode! Very happy so far with this purchase as well as the lifetime guarantee when you register the product. That in itself seems worth the money to me. I like that the device itself on the dog isn't hugely bulky and is rounded instead of squared. Putting it together wasn't an issue at all either. Really happy with this purchase. Hope this helps someone.

As expected and works great

One of our dogs is quite impulsive, and once she decides to start barking at something/someone, she won't stop. That is until now. I've been mulling around for months trying to decide whether or not to get one of these, and I'm so glad we finally did! I have vibration turned up to half way, and that's all it takes to get her attention. I will say the first time I went to use it, I started on 1, and that did nothing. I quickly tried to bump up the settings, got them backwards and bumped up shock...I zapped her once, and she yelped. I felt terrible.
I did try the shock on myself before I put it on her, and it feels like static electricity.
Needless to say, I've never had to use shock again. She's behaving so much better already! I figured I'd wait a bit to review, but this thing works pretty immediately!
Oh! Make sure you screw the little bolts in, and put the covers on them. Otherwise shock doesn't work.

It works!

Our high prey driven small dog will non stop bark at birds or bunnies outside. This collar has been a life saver and all I have to do is Beep him and he walks away. It took a few times of being shocked for him to realize there is a sequence but I haven't had to shock in a over a month. He has gotten used to the collar and doesn't seem to mind it being on when he is outside. Battery lasts for a few weeks but we are also good about turning it off when he comes inside and we take it off.

Works great...decent battery life

I was very hesitant to order a shock collar but, my dog has a tendency to lurch after cars when we are walking and to run after them if he can. I tried every training method I could think of but, it had no effect on his impulse control. He is a french bulldog and is can be very stubborn. This collar changed that - I have his attention immediately. Great collar and directions - easy to figure out and use. Thank you for help in training my dog!
