The sole is very well cushioned and gives a ‘springy, bouncey feel' under your heel. I make deliveries and walk a lot - this shoe keeps my foot comfortable and my legs from getting sore after a long day of walking, jumping and stair climbing. I love it.

My nephew is on the cross country team and when we asked him how is improved so much one day he said "i changed my shoes, i switched to asics" i had already been eyeing asics because i liked the way these ones looked and there is no leather on them. I also saw they are from recycles materials and have been reviewed as being a decently ethical company. I got them and even though i thought i would only wear them for running and sports i wear them all the time. i used to only wear my cuban heel boots daily. So these are a real change up and I am really happy with my purchase. Also the price and speed/cost of shipping.

Extreme comfort and quality, addicted.

I have been using using Gel Cumulus running shoes for few years. Being a neutral runner, I mainly use them for marathon training and general fitness. I find them very comfortable and made out of good quality materials. In my humble opinion, Gel 23 variant is an slight upgrade in terms of the sole and the fit. This shoes is pair worth owning for average runners or fitness enthusiasts.

Shoes worth having

These are great shoes for someone with Hagland's Deformity.  One thing to be aware of is sizing.  I have two pair. My black pair was made in Indonesia and my Sheet Rock/Hazard Green pair was made in VietNam.   My Indonesian pair is a half size larger than the Hazard Green pair but the Black is much tighter fitting than the Hazard Green.  I've noticed the Indonesian made shoes are also tighter fitting in other ASICS models that I own.

Great Shoes

Good fitting and comfortable shoe as the normally are. The fabric that was used in the top toe is really bad, everything sticks to it. After the 1st time wearing them they looked like I've had them for months. Never will buy them again but will with another fabric.

These shoes apparently run small. I'm used to wide shoes for my day to day wearing and tighter shoes for running. When these arrived, I thought they were just tight, but after a few runs I realized they really were too small. I should have worn them inside more before I ran, but foolishly thought that size 9 would be equal throughout ASICS brands.

Check your fit BEFORE you run!

This is my 10th pair of asics sneakers of various models. The quality of 23 went down tremendously to compare to 22 that i still wear.  The size of the toe box is very large. The whole shape of the shoe has been changed. The stability is poor. The quality of the sole materials is unacceptable.  Feels like a cheap fake.  But still better than competitors. 
I have to add that nimbus 23 and 24 are also bad.  
I am very sorry to write this ki d of the review,  but this is the fact.

Not as good as used to be

first time buying ASICS on line; have bought them for years in stores.   they look great but unfortunately the loop on the tongue that holds the laces came off the first time i wore them.   if i had bought them in a store i would have taken them back right away.   as i bought them on line, i did want to go through the hassle of returning them in the mail.   quality control missed the poor stitching on the loop!

quality control needs to be enhanced

Took maybe a couple weeks for these shoes to wear down. Now the souls have been so worn down that they started “squeaking” with every step only four weeks after purchase. Absolutely ridiculous. Terrible product. And Worst material. 
So hard to find quality shoes nowadays.

DO NOT BUY. QUALITY IS EXTREMELY POOR

I've been an Asics customer for about 6-7 years.  Typically a gel Nimbus guy.  The black appliques on the sole of my recent purchsse started flapping at about the 2 week mark.  I've never seen such shoddy attention to such an important detail.  Very disappointed.
