Had such a hard time finding a good shoe that gives me the support I need for plantar Fasciitis. These are the only shoes that have done the trick. On my third pair of Asics and as long as they work, will continue to buy these shoes.

Better than my 27s. I have work Kayanos for over 30 years. I run 10Ks but I'm a big dude (6'1” and 235). These are excellent. Max cushion is imperative.

Improved fit

Very comfortable shoe and I've enjoyed the Kayano line for years. I really wish Asics had better colorways for Kayano. They're mostly pretty boring/ugly colors but comfy and supportive.

I have been using Kayanos for at least ten years. This version is not as good as the last, the “new” foam soul sometimes causes the balls of my feet to ache. They are showing wear on the bottom after only a month. I recommend stop “improving” them, they were perfect before.

Kayano review

I remember when I first stepped into the Gel Kayano 26, how it was just magical. I didn't realize my feet could be so ridiculously comfortable, and the shoes literally worked in any circumstance. After wearing them everyday for 1.5 years I replaced them with gel kayano 27, which were good…. Not nearly the same though. I had faith in ASICS and tried again now with gel kayano 28, such a mistake. They're not uncomfortable, they just don't feel like they provide nearly enough support. Working in healthcare, I stand and walk all day every day, and then go to the gym in the same shoes. These shoes are barely adequate for that. So insanely disappointed in ASICS, and mildly angry that they won't make the wonderful old models (ie. Gel kayano 26)!!

Downhill spiral since Kayano 27. Keep looking.

I've been using versions of the Gel-Kayano for several years now and this redesign is a serious departure from the prior versions of the shoe. It used to fit my feet really well, now it feels like the insole is too narrow for the shoe. Very disappointing

Not true to prior design

I would previously wear other ASICS running shoes, which were all very comfortable, but decided to switch to this model based on the opinion of the ASICS rep I spoke to who was very nice. The sole of this shoe started to come unglued within the first month of use and was uncomfortable for the the arch in my foot. I was very surprised with this being an ASICS product because they are normally very comfortable.

Gel Kayano

Have had two pairs of 28s prior to this pair and they were great shoes. Great stability and enjoyed the bouncy and soft 
Cushion they provided. For some reason this particular pair had zero bounce or softness and actually caused me to develop knee pain. I contacted customer service to see if i could get a replacement and did nothing more than read to me the return policy and could have cared less if i was satisfied with my purchase. Asics is a multi-million dollar global company and could try to make things right with me. I ran in the shoes maybe 5-6 times so i wasn't trying to take advantage of anyone- my shoes were truly uncomfortable. I am not happy and will go back to Saucony.

Unhappy customer

The shoes soul is very soft for a running shoe. I went to go run in this shoes and my ankles and knees were hurting in just minutes. I had to take a couple days off from running to heal. I will not ever wear them again.

Bad shoe from such a good company.

My last two purchases were returned due to lack of fit, finish and comfort I've been a loyal customer           
 (13 shoes) and hope my next shoe will be the quality I'm used to.

What happened to ASICS quality
