Favorite Eyeshadow!

I kindly received this Almay Shadow Squad in Pure Gold Baby for free through the Glamsense program powered by TopBox Canada!

My first impressions were ... impressive!! I love the packaging - it is small and compact (convenient to take anywhere!). It does not include an applicator, which is fine, because most people don't use them anyway. It pops opens and closes easily so the product is protected, and looks appealing too!

The four colours are really pretty. They are not super pigmented, but look really nice on the eye. I love the sparkles! Even though there are only four shades, there are lots of options!  

This set is perfect for someone like me! I don't need a huge palette with dozens of colours. These provide me with all that I need!  

The price is reasonable and I love that they are readily available at Walmart, in a variety of shades. This is a product that I won't get tired of!

Pure Gold Baby!

Eyeshadow can be boring and bland, but this palette is gorgeous, vivid, rich and beautiful! Love how each shade can be blended with each other, or used one at a time. The deepness of each colour is great. I can now do shading and highlights, plus definition, all with one palette. I have Own It but looking forward to trying the other shades. Beautiful texture - soft and creamy, but light and powdery, Lasted all day. Perfect!

I got the eye shadow squad to try from ALMAY Glam Sense Program! These four squad eye shadows in one little transparent case are so cute and good for throwing into my makeup bag to carry out. I tried the "Pure Gold Baby", and the four shades gave me four different finishes from Matte, Satin, Metallic, and Glitter. It helped me to create a multidimensional monochromatic look and suitable for the people like me who are wearing contact lenses. The shades are creamy, soft, and easy to apply !

Fabulous eye shadow!

I gave this Almay eye shadow a try because the bright colors caught my eye and I've previously had good experiences with Almay products. The shadows weren't very pigmented, which surprised me because the colors appear so vibrant. There was quite a bit of fallout and they weren't the easiest to apply. While I still am a fan of Almay, these shadows left me unimpressed.

I love a neutral eye shadow to elevate an everyday makeup look, so I was excited when Own It showed up in my mailbox (tried it for free thanks to Glam Sense and Walmart). Unfortunately this shadow barely shows up on my skin, as you can see in the picture. These shades may work for much darker skin or much lighter, but since I'm in between apparently it's not going to work.

I found the powder to be very loose, so I really had to dig to get the product on my brush then the powder fell on my face while applying it.

I love the idea of product, with four finishes of the same shade, but this color didn't work for me, and I don't think it's the greatest quality or pigmented enough.

Tried it Own It...I wouldn't But It

Picture is misleading.  It shows the eye shadow as white in the picture and that's the color I specified in my search.  So How was I supposed to know Unapologetic is not white!!!
