I researched many options and finally decided on this one, and I couldn't be more happy with my decision. The piece is very sturdy, elegant and integrates perfectly into my space and decor. It's not too large for my condo and if I had a larger house, I would still purchase it - it's the perfect size. I'm a tall guy and I like the height of this piece (one of the main reasons I chose it). When sitting, my TV is at eye level. The item was shipped to me and it was very well packaged. Even though I dragged it up my porch stairs myself (not easy and wouldn't recommend), there was no damage at all to the product because of the layers of sturdy packaging and internal cushioning. I will definitely buy from Ashley Homestore again. They are at the very top of my preferred furniture stores list!

I bought this TV stand expecting to get a thousand piece puzzle. Instead, it had about a dozen easy to assemble part. The wood panels are not solid wood. I didn't expect that for the money I paid. It went together easily. Overall it exceeded by expectations for the money I spent. It arrived with a small dent on the face. With the dark color, you have a hard time noticing it. 

I ordered this TV stand and they shipped it UPS. I check the tracking number everyday and noticed that it said customer refused. I called Ashley and told them that UPS lied. They said no problem and sent me another one. UPS probably didn't want to unload such a heavy box. Ashley customer service....GREAT. UPS...thumbs down.

Harpan TV Stand

bought to sit beside my desk. Matches better than Hamlyn TV stand even though desk is Hamlyn. Actually looks better than several other TV stands with similiar style and color and is quite a bit less expensive. Seems very well made for what it is and is very sturdy.

better than the price

Good quality, well packed and easy to put together.  Had to modify the back for the depth of the Denon Home Theater Reciever but even that was not bad.  Looks good!!

Great Addition to the Living Room

We're very happy with this piece. My husband is handy and so he put it together himself without any problems. We had first ordered and recieved this exact same piece from target.com but ended up returning it to the store because it was damaged on delivery. Interestingly enough, this exact same piece is more expensive at ashley's. so you may want to look for it elsewhere. (sorry ashley's, be honest with pricing and I won't say things like that) Looks great, is seemingly durable. We've had it for 1.5mos now.

It's wood veneer over particle board. When the stand is put together it looks and feels quality, solid and sturdy to the touch.

However, when I was putting it together each piece is painted particle board at its core. One of the minor issues that bothered me is the particle board was not painted that well very much revealing it is particle board. It can't be seen when put together though.

It is heavy. I had to open the box downstairs and bring each piece upstairs since bringing th box upstairs was going to be a two man job.

Assembly took an hour though I took my time. The directions are easy to follow. It can be assembled by one person but I suggest two. Each panel is long making connections awkward to make on your own.

Overall, It is a good product for the price. I'm happy and would recommend it.

Sturdy and attractive

I put it together fairly fast.  Only thing I was disappointed in was a couple of corner were chipped.  I like it and it is what I wanted.  Fits nicely where I wanted it to go.

Harpan 42" tv stand

Good - easy to assemble
Bad - arrived with 2 nicks - on right in the cent of the top shelf and one on the side of the top shelf.
We "fixed " them with a wood coloring pencil

The wood was chipped in the package! The styrofoam was destroyed therefore it was everywhere in the house! Assembly is cheap and had to be manipulated to fit.

Not so great by mail :(

I am very unhappy with how this TV stand arrived. There were two chipped areas in the wood and the top piece was separated in one area as it appears to be a laminate. The piece is very heavy and was put together when realizing the damage so will have to fix ourselves.
