Very high quality, but Beware: The package instructions are unclear! There's a learning curve if all you've ever used is a traditional can opener:  Use it horizontally by placing round metal wheel (on the underside) onto the outside of the lid of the can and the small round metal wheel onto the inside of the lid of the can. Begin turning the topside faucet-like handle clockwise until you feel its wheels latch onto the can. Keep turning until the opener has gone around the circle. When you believe it has been all around the top of the can, turn back a quarter turn. The opener should lift away from the can, but if it doesn't, gently turn handle both ways a few times. If the lid does not lift away magnetically connected to the can opener, then use pinchers attached to opener to lift it off. Some cans these days have paper labels attached upside down at the canning factory. Examine the ends of the can first to open it from the correct end. Another instruction error: Cleaning. Do not put it in dishwasher like it says. Do not even wash it. NEVER get the metal underside parts wet!!! The opening wheels never touch the food, so that's okay. You can wipe the plastic parts that your hands touch. Water dulls the metal parts.  This is the kind  of opener that doesn't leave any cut edges on the can. The lid is loosened around the outside edges of the can, until lid comes off -- and can go back on again, but not as tightly. Sometimes you will see black glue that held lid onto the can during the canning process right before the lid was machine-squeezed tight to seal the can. The glue does not touch the food, either.

The can opener is safe and works well. I've bought two! A little pricey for a can opener, but well worth it!

I have had this brand of can opener before and I really like it. No sharp edges and the little clamp makes it easy to remove the lid.

Lord of the Openers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this can opener! Cuts smoothly no sharp edges and is dependable, no hit and miss areas. Also has a "set of  pinchers" to grab lid to remove no more digging with fingernails to get a lid off of the can. Opened many veggies and dog food cans with this opener quickly and easily.
This was purchased as a gift I stick with this one as it lasts works great worth the money for the quality and performance.

Classic quality

This device is much smoother than conventional openers and is a wonderful option, especially for those who have arthritis or other hand mobility issues.  It is easy to operate with a little practice and leaves a clean surface that avoids the potential for cutting one's fingers after opening.  When the lid cut is complete the tension reduces.  New users need to remember to use the small nub on the side of the device the pry the lid off.  Again, a couple of times using will make the process simple.

Easy to use

This is an awesome kitchen tool. It opens every size can and no sharp edges to get cut on. It is safe and rarely gets dirty.

Evidently this wasn't built to specs. I will not open any cans after the second can I tried.  I think I saw the same problems with other reviews, so there must be a quality control issue. I love this type of opener if they work.

Open one can, and that was the second one I tried

This can opener worked well for about a week, then at worked sporadically for a month or two, and now it doesn't work at all. I had purchased one previously about 20 years ago, and it was wonderful. It worked perfectly until suddenly it didn't but 20 years I think it's a good lifespan for a can opener.
