I found that this product, Ben's Original 10 Medley Style Five Spice Rice (240g), turned out to be quite “mushy” in texture and that the flavour(five spice), was not something that I had tried before and it would not be a flavour that I would prefer to try again in the future.

We are trying to keep our grocery spending within a tight budget. This is a quick, easy to make side dish that will pair with anything! Everyone enjoyed it and prefer this type over plain white rice. The quality & flavour is absolutely delicious! We will be adding these packs to our pantry. Looking forward to trying the other flavours.

Quick, Easy Side Dish...Delicious!

Chose it as sample on my last grocery order, I wish I hadn't. Terrible flavor and texture, super sticky. Does not mention rosemary in the ingredients but I'm sure I smelled it among the weird, sickening spice cake and dill pickle scent with a hint of curry. Yes, really. This rice smells like someone baked gingerbread cookies and decorated them with a pickle and curry frosting. I couldn't get over it and gagged. Family member attempted to eat it and couldn't either.

I like the variety of the tastes and textures of the 10 medley Chinese style five spice rice.  The blend of rice, vegetables and spices is very flavourful.  It's perfect for a busy week lunch or dinner as it's easy and convenient.  The only downside is it's high in sodium.

Convenient and flavourful

We cook with Chinese Five Spice and are familiar with the taste, so we were looking forward to trying this as a quick and easy side for dinner. Unfortunately the taste didn't agree with us, the balance of flavour was off for us, perhaps it was just too much ginger that overwhelmed the dish.

Not a favourite

So I ordered on June 12 few stuff and was given a promo code for Ben's 10 product to get it for free , sure does it's FREE since it's expired already May 31 2024 ..

I was not a big fan of this flavour of rice. It had a very overpowering mix of spices that made the rice unpleasant. I would not recommend if you are looking for a mild flavoured rice blend.

Overpowering spices

This product is great, has all the spices you need. A quick meal that is ready in only 2 minutes. Great staple to have on hand for a quick diner, just add some chicken or other protein and you are ready to eat.

Great Quick And Delicious Flavor

I'm surprised that all this flavour can come out of a package of pre flavoured rice. The added pulses add a fun and satisfying texture and taste. Loved this!

Such a unique rice dish

I picked up 20 of these rice packages and bought 4 different flavours. This one is good. I love how quick it's ready and eat it for my work breaks. Tastes greats.
