This was surprisingly quite spicy of a rice mixture.  It was a mixture of rice, beans and barley, which was a nice mix.  It's super easy to make, just 90 seconds and the rice bag was done.  The bag seems like a single serving but if you used it as a side works for probably two.

This was my favorite flavour of the Original 10 blends. I tried 4 types. I love this with yogurt on the side. Quick and easy to heat up and I did heat it up in a bowl outside of the container it comes in. Tasted great!

I love the Smoke flavour of this rice

We bought this to try cause it was new and sounded interesting. Bens 10 did not disappoint. The flavor was not like the rest. it's nice and smokey it is now a regular item in our pantry and appears and pairs well with our family taco night.

What A Surprise.

This is a good tasting rice with the combination of spices and black beans . I like this rice and so does my family . We have Mexican night often so this will make a great side dish. I will buy again

Quick side dish

It gives consumer a peace of mind that the rice package does not contain any artificial color, flavour or preservatives. It only consists of natural and healthy ingredients.

Peace of Mind

In concept I really like it, and the taste is great too. The issue is that the texture was "mushy", I think this might be caused by the kidney beans. Overall, it is a very quick and convenient side dish.

Good taste but strange texture

Ben's smoky southwest rice is a good addition to any meal!  It contains a mixture of ten grains, vegetables and beans and is nicely spiced.   It can be easily prepared right in the package in 90 seconds!

A tasty addition to our meal

I served this rice as a side dish for burritos. I appreciated how quick and easy it was to prepare and the rice slid out nicely from the package into the bowl so I didn't need to dig around inside to get the rice out. It had a very strong smokey smell when I opened the bag which I did not like but my family didn't mind. It was meant to be eaten alongside the burritos but it did not have a good flavour on its own. It had a bitter aftertaste. However, once we put it inside the burritos it blended in nicely and tasted much better.

Southwest style rice is no bad

It's not my favorite Ben's original that I have tried. I find the flavorings too sweet for me. I love the fact that it's it ready in 90 seconds. Great texture, but it was again too sweet for me. I liked the rice and even more the 10 grains medley with the veggies in each pack.

Too Sweet For Me

I was hoping for more out of these new offerings. They just don't have as much depth of flavour and texture I was hoping for, not rushing to buy again
