I love this product. When I am making family dinner and I am overwhelmed with the amount of food I have to make, this always comes to rescue in a pinch. It only takes a couple of minutes to prepare it and my kids like it even better than the rice I make from scratch. I always keep this in stock in my pantry for emergencies and I love that it has fairly long expiration date too.

This flavor is one of my family favorite flavors so I was very happy to see the new Larger Size available at the store. Now there is enough in the pack for everyone to take as much rice as they want, and enough leftover to pack with a leftover serving.

This is very convenient for someone who is not a strong cook and does not have a lot of time. This is super quick and tasty. My family loved it. The roasted Chicken aroma in the rice was perfect. The portion was great for 2 adults and a toddler. I was worried it was going to be salty, but it was not too bad. I highly recommend this dish.

Quick And Easy

Love the family size version of these rice pouches as there is a lot to go around rather than individaualized portions.  This particular flavour was tasty and delicious.  Just as I expected!

Paired with some chicken dinner for a quick and easy Sunday meal. Next time I think I might fry the rice and add scrambled eggs with green onions. Was pretty yummy for prepared rice

Great add on for chicken meals

The Bens Original Bistro Express family pack is quick and easy to make, it can be served to two to three people, it is well seasoned and can be eaten with different curries,  it saves time and has good flavour.

All Time Rice

This rice is an excellent choice when you need a quick side dish.  I love that it comes in so many flavours and that they now have a family size - good for two meals for us as we are only two!  The taste/flavour is the reason for my one point deduction.

Ben's original bistro roasted chicken flavor rice tasted good. This is my first time to try this flavor. It is good. Really saved my time to cook rice.

Good flavor

Quick and easy side for dinner - 2 minutes in the microwave and it's ready. Flavour wise it was not too exciting - a bit dry and I wouldn't be able to guess the flavour if it wasn't labeled. This product is better in the original smaller portion size.

Easy Family Side

I bought the Ben's Original Bistro Express Family Size Roasted Chicken Flavour rice package to use on those nights when getting supper on the table within 30 minutes of getting home from work is necessary.  Last night was that night - so the one positive is that the rice is quick to heat up/get on the table (note - the package states to heat in microwave for 2 minutes—I found I had to heat it up for twice as long/4 minutes). So that was nice BUT that is the only positive thing I can say about this rice.  Everyone at the table said the same thing - the taste was not good!!  It's hard to describe but comments were made that it tastes “chemically” (now that may be due to heating up the package for twice the recommended time) and had no “roasted chicken” flavour at all.  Unfortunately no one liked the rice and I ended up tossing 1/3 of the package in our compost bin. 
I would not buy this flavour again.  I would advise anyone trying it for the first time to heat up the rice on the stove instead of a microwave as I think that may have played a role in the “funky taste”.

Easy side dish but flavour is lacking
