The Ben's spicy Mexican style bistro express rice is one of our favourites. The flavour is amazing and we love the convenience of the bistro express rice line.

Perfect addition

Caddle

I like the tomato based taste of this rice that only took one minute to microwave in its own bag.  Added shrimp and peas for a more complete meal.  Not spicy but still very flavourful.

Not Spicy But Still Good

I buy Ben's Original Bistro Express rice packages to keep on hand at work for a quick lunch.  The Spicy Mexican Style flavour was really good, I was quite impressed!  If your “heat/spice tolerance” is on the lower side I would not recommend this flavour.  But if you like spicy foods you will like this flavour of rice!  Will buy again!

Tasty rice dish and easy to prepare

It's very convenient and flavourful side dish that my family and me enjoy very much. The rice is soft, fluffy and fresh. It has a nice balance of spices and heat. Easy to heat up in the microwave for a quick meal or snack. The quality is like in the restaurant

This has lots of flavour and is quick and easy to prepare. It's great as a side or mixed into and enchilada or mexican wrap

Flavourful and Quick

This rice taste like nothing special. It was not really spicy. Basically it tasted like taco seasoned   rice. Lots of Cajun blends of smokey, savory and salty. I am not a big fan of mexican fare. It is not for my pallet and this is why I am not recommending this product.

Nothing Special

I love spicy food, so the spice level on this rice was more than perfect for me. It could have even been a little more spicy and would have been fine for me. The rice although feels hard in the package softens up nicely once heated. It comes out perfect in the microwave and I love the texture of the rice, it's not too mushy. Also, the rice is very flavourful like eating a barrito. I would recommend this product to people who like Mexican and spicy food.

Spicy style rice

Bistro Express Rice was quick and easy. 90 seconds in the microwave made it a simple dish to add to a meal. I will try other flavours but this Spicy Mexican flavour was not my favourite. One of the spices seemed unbalanced.

Quick And Easy But Not My Flavour Preferance

I was expecting it's a bit spicier but not much. It tastes a bit bland and I didn't like the texture of rice.

I thought more spicier.

It was horrible! It had a weird underlying taste that I've never experienced before. Maybe it's all the chemicals added to it...
