Bens Original Fried Style Rice Side is great for a fast lunch. Easy to transport, quick to make and tastes good. It's inexpensive and just the right amount.

A Easy Lunch

This was very easy to make. A few minutes in the microwave and I had the perfect size portion of rice to add to my meal. The rice was tender and tasty. I think letting it either cook a bit longer or a bit longer next will have this rice a better as it still seemed like it was a little too moist. Overall it was not bad and saved me some time . I would of liked to see more peas and carrots in it. I will buy this again though because it was a good taste and the texture I can work on with adjusting cook time and rest time before plating it.

Not Too Bad

Very simple to make in the microwave for a fast snack. Was pretty tasty. Most of the water was absorbed into the rice, but it was more moist than rice made on the stove top. Overall, pretty good!

Better Than I Expected

I was impressed with how much flavor and texture it delivers for such a compact microwave ready portion. The cup is lightweightportable and requires no cleau up.

Ben's Rice

Fill to the correct line and was left with a little too much water and had to drain. Once that happened, this was a great side dish to our main course. Next time I'll add less water and sprinkle in more spices for flavour

Pretty good but could be improved

Honestly it's pretty solid for a quick fix, but nothing to rave about.  It's super convenient - just add water, microwave, and you're done in under four minutes, which is perfect for a busy lunch or late-night snack.  The flavour is decent with a soy-sauce base and bits of peas and carrots to make it feel more than just plain rice.  But it's definitely on the salty side, and the texture can be a big hit or miss - sometimes parts of the rice don't cook evenly and end up a little dry.  Also, if you're expecting true "fried rice" flavour, this won't scratch that itch - it's more of a lightly seasoned rice cup than anything you'd get from a takeout box.  Overall it's not bad at all for what it is, just temper your expectations.  I'd call it a 6/10 kind of snack - quick, handy, but nothing special.

Quick Fix that is Just OK

I like quite a few of the uncle Ben's cups but this one didn't quite meet the mark of a fried rice. Was okay when pair with other things but I wouldn't necessary this on its own.

This was okay!

The portion is way too small and is only enough for literally one person. To say that this portion is a side I'd be lying. It's more of a snack than a side.
