I recently tried Ben's Original Risotto Cheese Flavour. As is typical of the Ben's brand, this risotto product is high-quality and flavourful. When prepared as per the package directions, the risotto comes out firm yet it is smooth to the palate. The cheese flavour is tangy and not too overpowering. I highly recommend this product.

Can't believe we haven't tried this before!
So quick and simple to make when have had a busy day.
Family loved is and asked for seconds.  Will need to keep the cupboard stocked.

Will definitely be having again!

Paired it with roasted chicken and broccoli on the side and I must say it was quite delicious and the perfect consistency. I could see myself using more Bens ready rice for a quick and easy meals going forward

Surprised me!

What a great idea to take a very intimidating rice dish and turn it into something so convenient and quick to prepare.  Took only one minute in my microwave to make a pretty good rice dish.  Not overly authentic, but still tasty!

Great idea!

We love Ben's rice and risottos as side dishes and this one did not disappoint!! It paired deliciously with our chicken and veggies and was so quick to make! Very yummy!!

A nice quick side

This rice is very easy to make, only a few minutes in the microwave. It would be convenient for camping or road trips, but l did not like it as a home meal as the cheese flavor is a bit artificial tasting and the texture of the rice was not what I am used to. However, my toddler really likes it. So someone enjoyed it.

Cheesy Overloaded

Never having tried risotto before I decided that I would give it a try. I was surprised that it only required a ninety second cook time. I did think the package would be larger when I saw it online.

Easy Side Dish

When i saw this in the store, I knew I couldn't pass up giving this a try. Super easy to make, all you need is your microwave, a measuring cup and some water. I was hoping the cheese flavor would be a little stronger, and that overall it would have more flavor, but I found this to be some what bland. I would eat it again, but sadly my children did not enjoy it so I will not purchase again because they will not eat it

Cheesey Option

The flavour is pretty good, but it definitely isn't like real risotto, which takes forever to make. It just doesn't have the same texture and is more like a pasta.

not really risotto

We had the Ben's Original Risotto Cheese Flavour and to say we were un-impressed is an understatement.  The dish was easy to prepare - add 1/3 cup water and microwave for 90 seconds.  The appearance of the risotto looked genuine but the flavour was anything but good.  It was WAY WAY too salty (package contains almost half of the daily recommended amount of sodium) and the texture was questionable.  Definitely will NOT buy this again.
