Very belle winter boot, effective anti-slip sole, good design. I don't regret my purchase!

Very belle pair of boots

Bogs

Every boot has a purpose. My Sorels for deep extremely cold weather (-0 -50 degrees) These boots are good for everything else accept maybe as a hiking boot bit that's not what they were made for. Light, warm, waterproof. They will be your go to the whole winter because not only can they handle any cond8tions with great traction but they aren't too that you can wear them out to a restaurant/bar without overheating them. I saw a few disappointed ratings but they were looking for a winter hiking boot again get a hiking boot if that's what you need. These also look nice enough to wear out for the night without looking like a winter boot. Great job Bogs!!

Winter staple for all winter long.

Great Winter Icy Traction, Comfortable Boots all day long

Great Winter Boots

Perfect fit. Very comfortable and warm. Traction is amazing.

Perfect winter boot

There is not enough room to express my love for these boots. Warm, dry, aesthetically pleasing, easy to clean. I've worn these for two weeks straight and will likely wear these through the winter. Hopefully they'll still be available when I need a new pair!!! Love the sole, love the leather, and especially love the rubber kick plate on the heel which keeps from scuffing when taking them off without hands. This pair of boots is perfect for daily use, wet or dry weather.

Best boot everrrrrrr!!!!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Respire la qualité, bonne semelles, solide, pas fait pour -20, je dirais -10 un peu plus de isolation aurait été cool. Confortable et bon lacets, beau look.

Très bonne bottes

They look great! Very warm with the felt lining, my only gripe is there is no arch support. Sole and heel seem thin.

Arcata Urban Leather Mid Men's Winter Boots

Bogs to date have made comfortable and durable footwear. Many brands are designing soles that the exterior material wears out prematurely. The 1/4" to 3/8" thick sole lugs on the Arcata boot are misleading. When held to light inner sole foam is seen (dark material contrast to light contrasted exterior sole material). So in actuality, it appears to be constructed of only less than a 1/8" of actual durable sole material when angled to light (planned obsolescence)? The reality the sole is not as durable as earlier Bogs I have purchased with solid sole lugs, offering great durability and value. I have had these boots only a few days, but anticipate poor durability. They are comfortable except for the inner top lacing metal rivet also chafing ankle. I likely would not order this model again. If Bogs continues to make planned obsolescence soles, they will also lose me as a customer.

Arcata Urban Leather Mid Review

I wanted a nice looking boot thst was functional in winter conditions. These are warm and the tread gives good traction in snow and ok on ice. I struggled with the sizing a bit, and in hindsight I should have sized down half a size. I have short, wide feet and the width is perfect, but the length is slightly long.

Great winter casual boot

These boots work very well for daily life. In light rain—around 1–2 mm—they stay comfortable for a walk of about 5,000 steps.
However, on light trails the relatively thin sole tends to pick up small rocks and uneven surfaces, which makes them feel tiring more quickly.
Overall, they're better suited for urban environments than for trail use.

Great for Everyday Use

I really wanted to like these as there are not many men's options for this segment. I liked the style of these and the specs. I am an avid hiker and needed something waterproof and warm for hiking in the Tetons. The boots gave me a rub sore while wearing thick wool socks due to a non smooth surface that sticks out inside the boot right on my ankle. It is part of the thick black plastic that wraps around the ankle on the outside. This was after wearing them one day and doing minimal walking to and from my office to the parking lot. I had previously worn them around the house and to a few places for a week or two to try and break them in. They just hurt to wear them which shouldn't be the case with such little use. The tread on the heel also felt uneven, which honestly made me worry I would roll my ankle.

Disappointed.
