Can be convenient, but also prone to defects.

The operation is straightforward. Buttons are clicky but don't press lightly. I had to press them a little firmer even though it clicked.
The picture and sound are great. Speakers are plenty loud enough for the intended viewing distance. You need to angle the screen. This isn't a TV after all. Be realistic.
I love the size. Very generous viewing for getting cozy in bed or watching from the couch. It's the size of a large laptop. I'm even looking for a bag for storage and travel.
I'd recommend this to anyone who travels, has kids, or experiences extended power outages.

Portable DVD Player with large 15.6 " screen is a great size.  Has very long lasting battery which is a big plus.  I registered the purchase and am receiving a 3 year warranty for the product that I didn't expect.  Great concept.  If it lasts 3 years I will be completely happy with purchase.

I got this dvd player for my kids, it's been fantastic! I'm really happy with the size of the screen. Easy to use and the battery lasts for a long time for us.

Easy to use and good battery life

Great DVD player .. I know that DVDs have become dinosaurs with all the streaming platforms available, but , I have a rather large collection of vintage movies, tv series that I enjoy watching and this player is great for that

It's easy to operate and the picture is clear and easy to watch 

The sound quality is good but not great . I recommend using headphones or earbuds 

Overall  great device that I use quite frequently 

Oh and the 17 inch screen is a big plus to have

My 5 year old daughter absolutely loves her portable DVD player! It has a large screen so she can lay in bed and set it on her dresser to watch a movie and she feels like she has a tv in her room just like her older brother! It's very easy to transport also!

well it took me a little while to figure out all the buttons sometimes you press one button and then you press the other one and it does the same thing as the first button but once I figured it out it worked okay so nice little set but definitely read about it before you buy it if you want to run Blu-ray movies this is not the one for you but it does play the regular movies and does nice

not that bad of a DVD player

Works out of the box, but the first thing I noticed is how loud it is. Not the movie--the machine. Classic case of "you get what you pay for," I guess. 

Have written the company to see what can be done. Buying things = so much work these days. They have a 2-day turnaround period. And no way to contact them by phone.

Also, if you've been warned off QPC codes (I prefer not to use them), you'll struggle to get your warranty registered. The website address that pops up when you turn on the device does not work -- goes to some German dog food company -- and when you search their website you have to fill in an order number to register (but of course I bought the item at Walmart). They'll supposedly get back to me.

Okay, not great.

I hooked this up to my friends TV, a Samsung, at the veterans home. We can't get the picture on the TV to play in color, only black and white. I have tried reading instructions in book, looking up on line to no avail.  The Veterans Home has old direct tv system,. I thought this would be a way for my friend to watch movies on his TV.

This Boifun portable DVD player had great reviews on the Walmart website. I really like the size of it and many of the features that it claims to have. However, I was very disappointed when we put a DVD in the player and it read "no disc." We tried other discs and followed the trouble-shooting guide but could not get it to work. It continually stated "no disc" and would not do anything else. The specs on this player all looked great and exactly what I was looking for in a portable DVD player so when it did not work straight out of the box, it was very disappointing. Therefore, I cannot recommend this product to others at this time.
