The word ‘Halwa’ comes from Arabic and means sweet. Carrots being the primary ingredient, Gajar Halwa is a great source of the vitamins A, C and K. Carrots are also rich in beta-carotene, which helps the skin by blocking the UV rays. The milk content adds proteins and calcium to the dish while dry fruits give it antioxidants making this a nutritious dessert!
