Old cars from the 60s like my 63 Valiant  need a zinc/phosphorous supplement for protection of the camshaft and valvetrain as it says on the label. Newer oils don't have this, or as much of it, so anyone who runs any old car regularly is wise to use one. Of course this car has a Slant Six and it could likely run bacon grease and still keep going. However this is some extra protection when an engine is using oils and other lubricants that were never even dreamed of back in 1963. 
2nd bottle I have purchased. Will add it when I get the oil changed this March or so.

I like Rislone products and just started using their Engine Treatment on an 86 Olds Calais 2.5 [136,000 miles] It seemed to make a naturally loud engine quieter and a bit smoother. It will go into every crankcase from this time forward.

Nice to know I can still buy this off the shelf.

I have used the Rislone zinc additive in my older hot rod or muscle cars for a couple of years with each oil change. It works great,I recently had to pull the oil pan and replace the oil pan. The engine sat dry of oil for days waiting on my new pan and the rods and crank were still wet when I installed my new oil pan, I could still feel this additive keeping the engine ready for next startup.. Great product

Great product, best price. I use this in many different vehicles. I use it in on 05 Volvo S60R turbo to turn 0w40 Castrol into German Castrol. I just used it today in a 98 Chevy 1500. 

The nost noticable result was a 05 Ford F150 with the 5.4 5v Triton motor that clatters hellishly at start up, nothing else made a difference but this reduced the noise dramatically not more clatter when cold starting.

I think this is a great product and Walmart has the best price I have seen.  The reduction in the concentration of ZDDP content in modern oils is for catalytic converter protection; this comes at the expense of reduced engine protection.  This additive restores the ZDDP levels based upon the directions on the label based upon your engine's era.  If you need or want this additional protection, buy it from Walmart as everywhere else I have seen it for sale it sells for $9.99 or higher.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems to run smoother  I added this becausei needed more zinc for my cam than the oil had in it but since adding it  the engine seems smoother and I believe the gas  mileage has increased slightly  also. I will  to add it to my other cars at their next oil change too.
