as with all snake oil car products as I call them, I am always skeptical. but for my son-in-law's old beater car that was leaking about a quart of oil a month out the front main seal and probably other areas, this actually sealed it up! change the oil and added this to replace part of it. do not overfill your oil! it's been about 2 months now and he hasn't had to add any oil since the oil change. worked quickly no oil spots on my driveway either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this 3 weeks ago for my 2006 Tahoe, and the oil drips are definitely less than they used to be. I must say it works. Engine seals might be too far gone for the full fix but it definitely slowed it down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got a 1995 Nissan Maxima and 2004 Nissan Xterra that developed rear main seal leaks after 100,000 miles that left my driveway a mess. For over 10 years now with every oil change I put in a bottle with full synthetic and the leaks are barely there and no big spots on the driveway.

Using for Over 10 Years Now on My Old Cars

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first used this product eight years ago when my Chevrolet Suburban’s rear main seal began to leak.  I was willing to try because of the cost to replace a rear main seal.  I had never believed in oil additives; I thought they were all snake oil.  But guess what?  I WAS WRONG.   Bars Leaks stopped the rear main seal leak. I added it for the next two oil changes and then every other after that.   Eight years later, still no leak, another 100,000 miles and I haven’t had to pull the engine.   Since then, I’ve used it on four other work pickups we have, and it’s worked on them as well, whether it was a Chevy or a Ford.  All are well past 250,000 miles and have no leaks.   Sure is much easier to add a bottle than it is to pull a modern engine!

Rear main seal leak stopped

I purchased three bottles of this for my Cummins ISX 15 engine and I believe the product would have actually worked if I had added the proper amount and my seal hadn’t been too far gone. I could tell a slow down in the amount of oil I was losing. I think the product is worth a shot at a first detect of oil leak. I will use in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you Bar's for making great products. I needed a quick and easy fix for a leak in my Honda piolit. The rear main seal was leaking just not a heavy leak. If not for your product i would have had to buy seal and pay a mechanic to pull the motor just so the could get to seal. That was not something I was financially ready to do.  So again sincerely thank you for making life a little easier for the working man.

Good product for minor leaks.

So far so good, I poured it in with the oil and drove it until good and hot. My 1948 Chevy Coupe so no problem cruising that around right. I got her good and hot and so far so good. It’s only been a couple days, but I’m daily driving her so we will see real quick.

It didn't cure the leak, but it did seem to slow it down some. There is a chance I hadn't driven the truck enough to allow it to work before passing judgment. I've read you need to put a couple hundred miles on an engine after using any stop leak product to give it a chance to work. I have another vehicle with a leak and with doing a little more thorough research I found that there are more effective products on the market. Would I buy this again? Probably not, based on my new-found knowledge.
