It was not difficult to put together. However, I couldn't help but notice how it had so little holding it together and some of the wood underneath already looked like it was falling apart. Then I sat on it. It felt like I sat on cardboard, not a chair. I promptly returned it. For that price, it needs to do more than just look good. Also, I am 5'6" and it barely covered the bottom part of my back which won't be very comfy either.
