Nothing tastes as good as beef gravy made from a roast but this Better Than Bouillon is the best you will find other than roast drippings. I don't find it overly salty either. It is a very thick paste and must be refrigerated.
Problem with other Bovril types are they end up going rock hard or clumping up badly in the packages. Avoids having multiple pkgs./tubs in the cupboard.
