I have 3 bird feeder cameras. A Birdfy and two others of a different brand. What the Birdfy has the others don't is night vision, an alarm you can try to use to scare off predators %26 a microphone. It also connects quicker to the live feed than the other brand I use. Construction wise both brands I've had to glue or duct tape down because the mockingbirds kick the perch off. The Birdfy does NOT come with a way to hang it from the top, but does have more options on how to attach it to the rail or post. Picture quality isn't as great as the other brand but it's ok. Possums crawl over it every night, and raccoons try to pull it down %26 so far (nearly a year) haven't been able to, does not require $ subscription to use. I bought a solar panel to charge it %26 it stays charged better than the other brand.

I like it.

walmart.com

Replaced Bird Buddy with this unit as BB could not interface w/ WiFi. Also, Birdfy came with solar panel so no battery changes needed. Overall we have very much enjoyed Birdfy but it's bird ID is so-so. Have to use iNaturalist to get correct bird ID.

Enjoyable bird feeder w/ camera

Got this for my husband and we love it! We are addicted to it. I did my research before I decided on this feeder with the solar power charger. The camera is so clear. Also love that it has a night vision. We have had birds, squirrels and raccoons come to visit the feeder. This has brought so much joy for the family. We have it in our back yard so we're able to see the back of our house so it also acts as a security camera. Thank you!

I love this feeder! I just set it up (very easy to do, lot different mounting options), and the birds started showing up immediately. The WiFi reception is great, even though the feeder is on a tree in the far end of the backyard. The images and videos are very clear. I'm happy with my purchase :)

Great product!

Birdfy

We purchased this for my grandmother for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. We get multiple videos a day from her about who is visiting her backyard. Simple to put together and the app is very user friendly. Videos have a very clear picture it's amazing the detail you can see and all the sounds you can hear. We ended up purchasing another one for my mother in laws birthday.

Great Gift

Great bird feeder camera for the price. Very clear videos! Great bird ID.
It took me a bit to get it figured out, but chat and questions were answered promptly- very pleased.
I have looked at many other cams for way more $$$. This one is perfect for me!

Great bird cam for the price

I have eight bird feeders in my backyard, but the Birdfy became an instant favorite. It attracts a wide variety of birds, including cardinals, finches, juncos, chickadees, wrens, blue jays, and sparrows, sometimes four or five at a time. The captured videos are clear and fun to watch. I'm looking forward to adding the hummingbird attachment. I charge the battery once a week with an external power bank, but may add the solar panel for convenience. I have the feeder mounted on a tree, where it also attracts an occasional squirrel, so I may have to move it to a pole.

Birdfy feeder makes birdwatching fun

Great product but the free AI identification for life as it states on the box and in the manual is not the case. You must subscribe for the AI service which is a ridiculous money grab. The box doesn't tell you that you bought the Lite version and you don't find this out until you try to activate the camera in the app. Clear misleading by the company.

No AI recognition without subscription.

I received this as a Christmas gift from my boys and husband. They purchased it in December and we didn't get it put up until February due to the weather. By the end of March, a squirrel had broken off the antenna and now it won't connect to Wi-Fi at all. The problem with this is it's a great concept, but I can't put it in the middle of the yard it has to be right next to the house otherwise it will not connect to the Wi-Fi.

When it works it's great….

The main problem here is the battery lasts like a day… I'm not going to be taking it inside to charge every single night cause that is obnoxious. It also doesn't have as clear of a camera as it should, it's pretty bad actually. This is a gimmicky product at a premium price

Not worth it

Birdfy Seed Guard, Anti-Scattering Cover Durable Waterproof for Bird Feeder, 2 Pack bird feeder accessory shown as two front-facing grid-pattern covers that fit Birdfy feeders; grid limits seed spillage from wind and pecking, durable waterproof finish, rust-resistant, easy to fit and clean, often used to reduce seed scatter near smart feeder cameras.
