Reduce water evaporation with our 12-mil Round Solar Blanket for Above-Ground Pools. To optimize heat retention, this blanket is clear which allows more solar rays to reach the depths of your pool for consistent, natural warmth. Thermal bubbles retain that warmth even after the sun is gone, keeping your pool water warm even on cloudy days and cool nights. This innovative technology can increase your pool’s temperature up to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Backed by a 5-year warranty, our blankets are designed to withstand years of direct sunlight and harsh conditions.

Bubble Durability

This item was delivered to my local store for pick-up. It is light weight, easy to place on Pool and has raised the water temperature from around 82 degrees to 94 degrees today! I know that it will extend our swimming season and it makes the pool very pleasurable now, the pool water is lovely and welcoming in the evening hours.

Great Product!

walmart.com

This solar blanket works great! It was too large for our pool so we cut it down and it didn't damage it at all. It warms up the pool during the day and keeps it warm over night. It's a nice medium weight plastic so it's not too difficult to get it in and out of the pool.

We ordered this for our new above ground circular pool which is 22' diameter. This blanket did not come in that size, so we purchased the 24' and measured and cut to fit. We also just setup a solar panel kit, and the water temp. went up to 82 very quickly. We have had other solar blankets in blue, but read the clear will give even more heat, we are happy with this purchase.

warm pool

We recently purchased a 28'x52" round above ground swimming pool. we were reluctant about adding a heater to it due to the expense and work of it all. instead, we thought we would try this solar blanket and see if that would be sufficient. it has satisfied all our expectations. the pool water does heat up at least 10-15 degrees warmer. without it, the water temp was around 74. now, it has been as warm as 86! easy to put on and take off - just roll it up and roll it back out - can even do it alone.

great option instead of a heater

Never used this brand or color before, always purchased from a local pool company due to the size I needed-24' round. I have had it for about two weeks and it is doing the job. Less dirt and debris in the water, immediately helped in heating the pool up and keeping it. It's been cloudy, cool and windy here so it greatly helps. Price was good. I do like the clear coloring vs the blue.

So far so good

Pleasantly surprised in the quality of product. Met my expectations and more. Would recommend for anyone trying to add time to your swimming season. Great for kids, they just need a little more warmth and there all in, if you get my pun. Great product for price and believe me I checked. Would highly recommend.

Great for a novice in this area.

I needed a new solar cover for my pool as my previous blue cover was disintegrating and becoming a complete mess. This cover said it would raise the temp several degrees. After about 2 hrs of using it, the temp had gone up about 2 degrees, which was a good start. It truly does heat all the way down, unlike my old blue cover which heated a lot about 2-3 inches on the top, but the rest of the pool was cold. I disagree with another reviewer about this being a cheap bubble wrap cover that was glued together. Its a good quality vinyl bubble blanket. Another reviewer said it did a poor job of keeping debris out. This is not intended as a debris cover. Its main purpose is to heat the water a bit, and if it keeps a few leaves and bugs out, that's a bonus. It floats on top of the water to heat it, and it does a good job. Yes, you will have the debris that's on top of the blanket drop into the water if you don't remove it before taking it off. A simple dip with the skimmer will take care of it all. And I can't speak highly enough about the awesome site to store service! I love it! Its truly a wonderful feature that Walmart offers and it keeps me coming back for online purchases again and again. Thanks for a really good product and fantastic service!

Good Quality and I'm happy with my purchase

I would say that this product is basically a extra-extra thick, extra big sheet of bubble wrap. It will probably last a few seasons, then will need replaced. I'm glad I chose this one over the thinner blue version. Now I need to get a reel to get it off and on the pool!

You get what you pay for!

Easy to put on and take off with 2 people. Increased the pool water by 2 degrees within 24 hours with highs in mid 80's and lows in mid 60's at night. It is a bit pricey for a glorified bubble wrap cover, but it does the job. The best feature is the ease of taking it on/off and it sits on top of the water nicely.

Good pool cover / solar blanket

This pool cover/solar blanket works great but it''s nothing but heavy-duty bubble wrap hot-glued together. Great idea, one that works--it certainly keeps the pool warmer and cleaner and works better than the blue one I had previously--but paying $50 for it, that is the part where I feel cognitive dissonance. I would only grumble a little at $29.95 (for the manufacturer needs to be paid something for the good quality bubble wrap and glue) but at the higher price, it feels like I've been been taken advantage of.

Good product, bad price

A large amount of the air pockets were deflated when the product arrived. I think that may have been due to how it was packaged, rolled up tightly and shipped in a plastic bag instead of a box that might have protected it. I have had solar covers for 10 years, (never used this brand) and this one was disappointing. It was flimsy and not what I expected in a 12 mil. My initial reaction was to send it back but I never would have gotten it back in that plastic bag.

poor quality
