The classic BRM instant oatmeal is just as good if not better than the other two flavors.  It might be a smidge better because you can add whatever you enjoy without worrying about clashing flavors.  I really enjoy the texture of the hot cereal which i am guessing is due to the flaxseed meal, creamy but still real oatmeal.  Good job to the people at BRM - keep it up!

It's always great to have a instant oatmeal on hand that is unflavored & eat as is, or create your own special bowl of oats.  We enjoy adding either berries, nuts, maple syrup, banana, blueberries, strawberries, let your imagination run wild! It's a satisfying & healthy breakfast.

1'st time trying this Instant Oatmeal

On a busy morning I find the Classic Instant  Oatmeal is the perfect choice for me. I usually add berries ...... sometimes yogurt and sometimes even applesauce.  I like the added flaxseed and feel good about not sacrificing good nutrition for a fast, easy breakfast.

Classic Instant Oatmeal

The classic instant oatmeal packets taste great. I love the texture, it is similar to steel cut oatmeal. It also contains flaxseed meal for extra fiber. I throw in some fresh blue berries and chow down! This is simply the best instant oatmeal packets available.

Simply the best!

I tried the instant oatmeal classic for the first time this week. It was delicious. I love that it's has flax seed, I added a couple spoons of wheat germ and cinnamon. Also 2 sugar cubes. As fast as salt, it's perfect for me. Without it's too bland. If people don't want salt they can buy the bag. I have high blood pressure med. Controlled. It's rather enjoy with salt than not enjoy without. I can adjust salt elsewhere. Thank you!! Next.. millet!!

Oatmeal Classic instant

I think this packet oatmeal is a decent adaption of the original to-go cup version. It's slightly less toothsome due to how quickly the oats need to cook in the microwave without the reliability of the provided cup to retain heat. Frequent oatmeal cup eaters will notice that the packet oatmeal version tastes much better texture-wise when cooked in the microwave, whereas the cup version taste WAY better with boiling water. However, it's easy to replicate the cup version texture by emptying the packet in a thermos and adding boiling water - you'll get a nice 'slow cooked' version. My on-the-go solution is the put one of packets inside my thermos un-opened so that I don't forget it at home when I leave in the morning, and then empty the packet into the thermos and add hot water when I get to work. I love that I no longer need to trash the cups each day - saves on waste! The packets are easy to travel with, so this will be my new office staple. I'd like to see this oatmeal (the cup recipe) sold in a large pack so I can slow cook it!

This instant oatmeal provides a quick, easy and healthy breakfast with no added sugar.  I found the texture to be best if I microwaved it on high for a minute, let it sit in the microwave a couple of minutes and then microwaved again on high for another 30 seconds.

Quick, easy and healthy breakfast!

This was my very first time eating instant oatmeal, and I couldn't believe how chewy it was! Chewier than the non-instant oatmeal I used to eat, that's for sure. I also liked that it was unsweetened and unflavored so I could add my own goodies -- milk, walnuts a fruit. My only disappointment is that not all the water was absorbed and it tasted a bit pasty. But I may be able to change that by tinkering with my cooking methods.

I Can't Believe This Is Instant!

I love all Bob's Red Mill products, and was excited to try your instant oatmeal. I prepared it in the microwave and added raisins, cinnamon, agave,
chopped pear and a little almond milk. So anxious to taste this, but all I could taste was salt. I wasn't prepared for that. I don't think you need to add salt to
this product. It is better on it's own.

Salty Oatmeal

I was so excited to find a plain oatmeal in single serve packets. I like to add my own toppings. And loved the addition of the flaxseed. However this product is entirely too salty for me. It really doesn't need any salt, the large bags don't contain salt and I don't think the packets should either.
