The only issues we had was that out of 2 one came with a 1 inch area where they had tried to fill the wood and stain over it. Was quite obvious since the area was right across your back where the side back brace meets. Had to order another stool then swap out the piece since the original stool had already been put together. We were not going to take full stool apart for one piece. They took quite awhile to put together with many small areas you needed to squeeze your hand in to tighten screws. Except for these problems they are quite rich looking. We wanted something for under a kitchen counter and these are perfect. Hate the metal bar stools very cold looking. Extremely happy with the end results. Look much more expensive then they are!! Great buy for the money!

These chairs are excellent quality! Very heavy and sturdy! Putting them together was a bit of a pain!! Also I had a small problem with one chair- I ordered 5! My husband was able to fix it at work! Otherwise the chairs are great!! Love them!!

Great chairs

This barstool met all criteria except for one thing. The Fruitwood wood tone was more like an Oak tone with way too much of an orange base to it.  Sorry that I had to return but the wood color did not fit my decor.

Fruitwood is not a brown tone

We are very happy with these Palmetto Swivel Barstools in Fruitwood. The assembly took about 30 minutes for the first one and 10 minutes for the second one. We decided not to add the back on the second one for space considerations in our kitchen but it looks fine without the back installed. All parts were included but I ended up using a ratchet set with allen head bits as the little L shaped tool included with the stools made the assembly more difficult than with a ratchet system. The seats are vinyl but of very high quality as is the workmanship of the solid wood construction. I would highly recommend these barstools.

Great looking bar stool for kitchen

I am really glad I purchased these and had this shipped to the store. Easy to pickup. Had no problem putting together. Bought 4 of them and only have 1 that wobbles just a little. Probably had something to do with the way I put it together.

Not yet sure of the "value" or "durability" as I have not had them very long.
Bed Bath & Beyond has the same stool for $9.00 less.

Very attractive

Hubby was ready for a nervous breakdown by the time this was assembled - and he's excellent with handiwork! It was poorly planned, and he could not even gain access to tighten bolts - had to plug holes, buy new bolts and drill new ones. [He's never asked me if I review a product before - but this time, he insisted I do it!] In the end, it's a nice solid stool, rather large overall, and heavier looking than I expected - or wanted. I had to mark it down for the difficulty assembling it. Quality control and/or engineering is clearly lacking.

Nightmare to assemble

Stool is made out of pressed wood. When people place their feet on the foot rest the wood spilts and peels off. Bought these for my mother-in-law for christmas. Now will have to return them. Should have order the solid wood stools from oak express for about forty dollars more.
