Ease Of Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am traveling and the hotel was are staying at does not have coffee makers. This will allow me to make instant coffee Plus I camp a lot and this will be great.

walmart.com

This portable collapsible dual voltage kettle is ideal for traveller-a personal kettle as I call it, especially during covid19/variant that requires hotel quarantine, or on a cruise ship. It is easy light way and compact to carry. I feel more safe to use my own personal kettle. Just love it. I also bought the collapsible travel cup to go with this!

Personal dual voltage collapsible kettle on the go

This is an excellent travel kettle. It works on both 120 and 220 volt systems. You MUST set the voltage correctly or you'll have a bad time. If you set the kettle to 220 on 120 it will take an hour to boil your water. If you set it to 120 on 220 it will likely cause permanent damage to the kettle!

Set correctly however, you have a well built collapsible 800w kettle. I received and it was already set to 120v which is what we use here in the US. It can boil between 0.2 and 0.8 Liters (about 1-3 cups) of water. As a test I boiled the maximum amount. 0.8L of tap water came to a boil in 6 min and 10 seconds. after about 30 seconds of boiling the unit clicked off. I measured the power usage and it was 750w at 117v.

The kettle collapses into a nice little puck and the handle folds into the lid. It's quite easy to pack away. For home use I'd look for something larger and more powerful, but for travel, this unit is tough to beat.

Excellent Travel Kettle!

This is great! Compact — got it into my carry-on — and works really well!

Small and powerful!

Brilliant! Travel must.
Boils water safely and quickly. Then collapses down into a perfect disc!

Never Travel Without It

I purchased this kettle for travel, and overall it does what it's supposed to do. I like that it's compact, lightweight, and doesn't take up much space in my luggage. The dual voltage feature is also a nice bonus for anyone traveling internationally.

That said, it didn't completely wow me. It heats water adequately, but there are a few small things that keep it from being a five-star product. It's functional and convenient, but the overall experience feels more average than exceptional.

If you're looking for a portable kettle that gets the job done, this is a solid choice. Just don't expect premium performance or features.

Compact and Practical

Bought for RV great collapsible for saving space. Also, it does not get super hot on outside.
Cord could be longer because heating element is inside the bottom. Not a separate/removable heating element .
Overall, great product.

Love this little kettle for traveling, as Americans, unlike the British, don't always have a kettle in rental properties and hotel rooms.
Unfortunately it doesn't always turn off when it's boiling, so you need to keep an eye on it.

Great kettle - doesn't always turn off

Kettle works as intended. Takes about 6-7 minutes to boil full pot of water at 110V. It has range of 570-820W so it is not as your ‘big' kettle with 1500W. Looking forward taking it with me on my trips around Europe and trying it at 220V. Silicone after washing did not smell like soap due to smooth inside lining. Gave 4 stars because on/off buttons is for right handed people only. In other words when holding kettle in your left hand you will not see on/off buttons because it's on the other side. They should have placed on/off buttons in the middle, directly opposite of where cord is. Also, would have been much better to see the temperature of the water. When kettle is folded/collapsed it stands about 3.75” with diameter of about 5” Unfolded is about 7.75” tall. It fits 800ml of water and is enough for two cups of coffee.

Good kettle, but needs minor improvements.

Very practical, light and good travel companion. The only catch, no AC adapter, although it also works with 220V.

Good purchase

I was excited for this purchase and it looks and feels like it's built well. The collapsible feature is definitely neat and would be very easy to pack away if using it for travelling. However it took approximately 1 HOUR for the water to come to a boil, and that's with the setting at 220-240V. I do not find this practical to use while travelling, or in general. I wouldn't recommend this unless you have all the time in the world to wait for your water to boil.

Cute but not practical

Brentwood 0.8L Collapsible Travel Kettle in white with a collapsible silicone body and handle, featuring an 800W concealed heating element and stainless-steel hot plate, designed for quick boiling with dual voltage 120/220V support for travel convenience.
