It's easy to use. It's just a matter of trial and error. Watch lots of video tutorials online and follow them step by step. The tortilla recipe is also VERY important. And it helped me to coat the ball of dough in flour before putting it in the machine; that way it doesn't slip and cooks properly. For me, it's a very good machine. Thank you.

After reading some complaints about the handle breaking, I've been very careful when pressing down on mine. The non-stick coating works great—in fact, it's almost too non-stick, as my dough tends to slide out a bit! Other than that, I am very pleased with the results. I've only used it three times so far and try a slightly different recipe each time to perfect the consistency. My best advice is to ensure your dough is soft and to use very hot water when mixing it to prevent the dough from bouncing back—it makes a world of difference!

This arrived super quick!  Faster than Amazon which was great giving us a different option - might have to look here more often!  This one has metal around the handle making it sturdier than other brands we've had.  So far so good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use it on a daily basis to make Chapatis/Rotis (Indian Soft Flat Bread). I find it easy to use. Rotis come out very well. I liked the product. 

Just that I feel the horizontal plastic holder attached for support on exterior side along the horizantal/fixed circumference bed (on which Rotis are placed) is very delicate %26 one should avoid pressing on it with strength when closing the handle. 
We need to use it for support but need to be very delicate when using it as support. Probably could have used a stronger material as it can break easily with strong pressure. In other words could have designed/built that support using a different material and perhaps in a different way. Hence gave 4 star for design. But will give 5 star for its functioning/working.

Works very well

This design was what I thought I wanted for homemade tortillas. It tends to make irregular (lacy) edges. In my opinion, it works better for flour tortillas than it does for corn.

Electric tortilla press %26 cooker

When you put the dough and close it the dough slips off it's very complicated to get it to make the tortillas the right way no matter how you do your dough it does that I also burnt myself with the outer part when closing it my arm touched the iron on the outside while closing it it's design is dangerous I have small children who help me in the kitchen that's not safe

Didn't work for me followed all the instructions

1 star, yeah, I know, is it really 1 star?  Yes, or even less.  The machine is operational, there are no defects, but it's simply just not designed to make tortillas thin enough.  It will NOT flatten them enough at all.  I am an experienced tortilla maker.  I tried 6 separate batches of tortillas, each time researching and altering the recipe and my method of making them slightly to encourage better results.  Every time, I end up with tortillas that are too thick to bend without creating a tear.  You're supposed to put the slightly flattened dough ball about an inch from the hinge, close the top and use the lever to press down fir just a moment and open it back up.  The dough ball will be flatter, but too thick nearest to the hinge.  If you turn the tortilla 180° and press again, its still too thick.  By the way, I used doughs that were high in moisture and flexibility.  Yes, I let the dough rest for a good long time before cooking.  I've decided after all this experimenting that its definitely not me or the recipe.  The fault is the way the machine is designed.  I wish there was a question and answer ability so that I could emphasize just how poorly designed this product is to anyone who has questions.  I had thought to myself after reading the other reviews that I could overcome any problems, but no, not at all.  This machine does not produce anything remotely resembling a good tortilla.  Thanks for reading. Don't waste your money.

The package was damaged, the product looks used and has some scratches. You can only download two pictures I want to return it and get a new one or my money back

A very disappointed experience

I think this product was fake when advertised, there is no way it will ever work :(!!

Its worthless. It doesn't fulfill any pupose.
