I bought this file drawer as an add-on to the L-shaped desk and hutch I bought 7 years ago at OfficeMax. I was surprised to see it was still for sale and I could get a matching file drawer, so I paid to price to get it, even though it seems a little pricey for a cheaply built product. But it works and no issues to date.

The file cabinets work very well and were well described (no real surprises when we got them home). The boxes were very heavy. You will need two people to carry them into the house and the 2nd person is essential in a couple of the steps including moving them into position. The assembly process went much more smoothly when I got out the power screwdriver to put the screws into place. We bought two and it took us a good 3 hours to put them together. But they look great. We needed the function of file cabinets but didn't want them to look like office furniture. This product was a good choice.

Lots of assembly required

We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly the file arrived at our Walmart for pickup - sooner than stated! When assembled it looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture - definitely better than any "put-together" pieces purchased in past years. Would try it again :)

Good price and works well for what it is intended. Looks nicer than other pressed wood furniture that I have purchased and is easy to set up. Not sure about durability as I have only owned it for a couple of weeks....we will see.

Nice for the price!

this is a very good lateral file cabinet and I love the color. It give you four filing rows, to help you organized your documents. However I would suggest a better instruction manual for putting the cabinet together.

Great filing cabinet.

Perfect answer for my small space. went together well until I went from page 4 to page 5 - should have had a 2nd person to support the side when I turned it because the screw in stud (#H72988) ripped out taking with it a portion of the inside of the side panel. Also, would highly recommend using wood glue whenever two wood pieces come together. Use the wood glue once you dry fit the pieces together. Makes for a much sturdier piece. I put this together over the course of 2 days because of the wood glue.

Very Nice Look furniture

Overall, the quality of this product exceeded my expectations. I was just looking for an inexpensive lateral file cabinet that would match my office decor and what I got was a fairly nice piece of furniture. The inside rails that hold the files could be a little stronger, and the drawer bottoms would be better if they weren't 1/8" board (you can't put anything heavy on the drawer bottoms), but everything else is really well done.

I had this product assembled, it couldn't be done due to several missing parts. The prior reviews stated they had similiar problems, would recommend to manufacuter to check the package assembling.
