Took about five hours for me to put together alone. The product arrived without any damage, the directions were easy to follow, and it was not missing any hardware. Only possible issue was that it came with a miniscule amount of white glue for filling dowel holes... fortunately, I had extra around the house so it wasn't an issue for me.   My daughter loves it!

So far, my experience with the desk has been really good. It did take quite a while to put together. By myself, it was about 6 hours. I thought it was completely worth it since it is very sturdy. I love all the extra space I have on this desk and it is exactly as it appears in the picture.

love it so far. it was hard to find one that would fit in the limited space i had with a hutch which was a necessity. it took me, all by myself, approx 3 hours to assemble. I didn't mind though, because there are a bunch of dowels and screws which meant it was going to be sturdy when i was done. all the parts were labeled---all 32 of them. the packets of hardware were all separated and labeled. finished product---looks great and is tight/sturdy.

The box the desk comes in weighs 155 lbs so remember to have help lifting it.
As for the constuction of the desk, the instructions are excellent and easy to follow but because there are 36 steps took five hours to construct. One thing to remember, when puting the drawer together, I recommend placing a line of glue in the grooves where you slide in the bottom piece for extra stability. This is a great desk for the value the hardware and extra finishes in the trim looks more expensive then it actually was.

I love this desk. It's sturdy and beautiful. My only disappointment is the tower cabinet measurements didn't work for me because of the door frames covering part of the opening, not allowing my product to go through. I measured beforehand to be sure, but wasn't aware of the space loss due to the frame. Other than taking all day to put the 35 steps together, there's nothing I don't like about it. It was a great purchase. Im very satisfied with it.

I looked and looked for a small desk for my office. Most of the prices ranged from $300 - $500. I found this desk online at Wal-Mart. So, with free shipping and reading the reviews, I took a chance at $205. The desk was delivered promptly - within days. However, it was the wrong color. Wal-Mart worked quickly and dilligently to get the return processed and deliver the correct item. This was accomplished in a matter of days. The only thing I would caution on this desk is the assembly. It came in about 50 pieces or so with countless hardware. However, the directions were fairly easy to follow. Each step had pictures and told how many of each piece of hardware you would needfor that step. It took my husband and I about 6 hours to assemble. We are both fairly handy - but not awesome. Anyway, great desk for the money.

Great value

Let's see, 5  hours to assemble, two trips to the hardware store for missing screws, glue, and dowels. An instruction guide that was 28 steps long. I've built several of these pressboard type desks, but this was the worst by far.  The two stars as for looks once together and a guide that wasn't horrible.

I regret this purchase, but it looks OK once done

I also can't get them to send me the desk in Antique White. I returned it TWICE and have a third desk in "Aged Tobacco" finish sitting in my entryway to be returned. I explained the issue to them on the phone both times and they still can't check that they're sending the correct item. At this point, I'm getting my money back and looking for a desk elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend buying this if you're looking for a white desk, you won't get it, as demonstrated by at least 3 customers now.

Same Issue as first 2 reviewers..

Have ordered this item 3 seperate times amd same piece has been broken every single time.  Very displeased it is very heavy and I have to return it each time to local Walmart to recieve refund .
