I love the look of the Saratoga line.  I have the desk, chair and bookshelves . I would hire someone to put them together as my husband had a very difficult time and the directions were very hard to follow.

Very sturdy and heavy. I was pleasantly surprised how well it assembled and how good the finished product stands and functions.

Excellent product for the money

Was very much surprised, at how pleased I was with this product. It is very attractive, and appears to be extremely well constructed and sturdy. The only real problem I found with it, is it makes the rest of my furniture look pretty shabby, now the rest of my office needs a total make-over.

This is a very nice file cabinet once you get it put together. I have put together several pieces of this type and I have to admit this is not one of the easier ones to do. It is very sturdy and overall a very nice piece. If you have never put this type of furniture together before this may not be a good choice for the first one. However, once finished is very nice.

Nice file cabinet, not real easy to put together.

Attractive piece of furniture. Very solid and heavy. But also somewhat difficult to assemble. Two steps of the assembly require another person to help you hold the pieces together. Parts are labeled with long numbers, so it was helpful to organize it all before starting. Customer service was excellent, however. Had to call them twice and got right through both times. Both reps were friendly and helpful. If you have a few hours to devote to putting it together, you'll like the outcome.

Nice when finished, but long assembly

I am a young, single female and just purchased my first home. With that being said, I renovated and decorated on a very tight budget. I purchased this filing cabinet and the matching bookshelf for my new place and am very pleased with both. I offer this warning though... be sure you're well rested and have a couple of hours set aside for assembly. It's not terribly difficult, but the directions are illustration only -- no words. So on a page where 10 things need to happen, it shows you the 10 things, but not the order in which you should complete them. But, I did eventually succeed in getting it built. Decent quality and looks great for what I need it for.

Directions are vague in some parts

Looks nice but unit is made of pressboard. The drawer bottoms are made of heavy duty cardboard. It took 3.5 hours to assemble (150+ screws, bolts, etc). Also, build it near where you are going to use it. It is very heavy (100+ lbs) and it is hard to move once assembled. The instructions say to not over load the piece by placing a heavy TV on it (printers and faxes are okay). The drawers are deceiving. If you want to use a drawer for legal files you only get to use the front to back space for the legal files on one side. They do not accommodate legal files side by side...you can then use the left over space to hang letter size files cross wise...not what we were expecting. The color is also a little darker than we expected--it's not what I would call Cherry. These are light duty pressboard file cabinets. You get what you pay for here.
