[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great deal. Purchased to replace the same one that lasted for 8 years. Comes in 3 boxes with good instructions. Didn't give it 5 stars as a couple pieces of wood were damaged but still usable so all good. Will definitely buy again in 10 years.

Great workspace

I love the way it looks. I have to say it looks like a much more expensive desk than the actual cost. It is the first item you see, based on its height and size, when you enter our apartment because I have it in the dining room and it has gotten its share of compliments. I love the storage compartments, drawers and shelving. I also have 4 cats, including a large Maine Coon, who find space without interfering with what I am doing (this was not at all possible with my previous desk) and for those with cats I figured this would be useful information as we know cats don't just sit on the desk they tend to take it over (no worries anymore with that) My daughter also uses one end of it to do what she wishes while I do my work (and we don't clash)
If you are looking for something that is eye appealing and spacious (without the huge cost of some desks) this is it. It does take up quite a bit of room, the description doesn't exaggerate on that, we had to move our fish tank all the way to the end of the wall (and we have a large dining room) and we just made it (not an inch to spare) however, the ease of putting together is another thing, it took my husband a few hours as some pieces weren't labeled and some incorrectly but over all I'd have to say it was a great purchase

Instructions were easy, incorrect hutch was sent but Walmart fixed that asap. Great customer service

This is a sturdy desk, looks nice  and good work space.  My only advice is figure out which screws are which and write on the millions of bags of screws with sharpie.  The directions are pretty straight forward.

I am writing this not to discourage you but advise you. Bush Industries produces an exceptional product, getting it to you and you assembling it can be difficult at best. Walmart is merely the transfer medium and as such your experience will be with Bush. It is possible to receive undamaged packages but it seems unlikely. These products by their very nature are very heavy. They are packaged with lots of recycled styrofoam and engineered to fit in the box they are shipped in extremely well. If upon receiving a package you notice any damage to the cardboard ie crushed,torn,etc be suspect that the contents are potentially damaged. Open the packages carefully keeping their contents separated. Have plenty of room to work and follow the pictorial directions page by page. Do not skip a step and study the 3 dimensional drawings carefully. One key bit of information. In the book that accompanies the unit there is a complete description of every fastener and all hardware. Study and reference back to this key as you assemble. Be patient and follow the drawings to the letter. It is quite remarkable how an engineered product will come together taking shape that eventually makes perfect sense.
If you have damaged parts contact Bush and they will get those parts to you asap. If you have trouble following the assembly instructions contact them for an english (in my case) speaking adults help. I will admit to total frustration (hence 2 star) that netted a beautiful functional well designed work space that was very affordable. Be patient enjoy the experience.

Difficult to master/ rewarding when you do.

When I picked this up from the store several corners of the boxes were damaged. When we got it home to assemble there were large scratches in the middle of some of the pieces. Had to return back to the store.

Many pieces damaged

I paid almost $1,000 for this desk.  Came in 3 boxes and all 3 were damaged. Not one main piece made it through shipping. FEDEX was horrible.  The driver was mad cause of the size of the boxes and she deliberately dropped one box on the edge of the truck, breaking all the pieces in half and she took a picture of the box she broke in half which proves a lot of the damage.   The pieces circled in yellow are all the damaged pieces including the ones broke in half.
 I am now waiting for them to reship using LTL on pallets. 
The desk has lots of parts and is partical board. Pretty expensive for partical boards. I am hoping I eventually get to have my desk. I work from home part-time.
