I own a small bike shop, so have used your bottles for many years. Always great quality, with lots of options! Thanks for the great service!

Jackie/Chase Cyclery

I own a small bike

camelbak.com

I like the size, the ability to just squeeze it. i really like the ability to have a dust cover over the valve!

I like the size, the

Good stuff, keep it up

The new top is hard to twist one handed to the open and closed position while on my bike. I have to pull it out of the cage to hold the cap in place to twist it open. If I just try to open the valve one handed, the whole lid opens, the valve stays closed, and my sticky sports nutrition ends up all over. Otherwise, yes, easier to clean than older versions, and I don't have residual scent / taste from previous use.

Hard to twist open

Love the bottle caps. Easy to disassemble and clean. However, I am disappointed that the bottles I purchased are NOT insulated. Was not specific in the description. I load 4 bottles for my ride, and by the time I get to bottle 3 and 4, they are warm. I guess I need to be a better shopper. :(

Podium 24oz Bike Bottle

This iteration of the Podium water bottle is so terrible compared to the previous version that it motivated me to write a review.

Disassembling the lid in order to clean is a feat of strength. Once disassembled, the parts are easy to lose.

"Unlocking" the nozzle to drink out of the water bottle is so finicky, half the time I unlock it, I unscrew the lid itself.

The flow of water isn't nearly what it was with the original.

Camelbak took a great design and ruined it.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it

I replaced my old bottle with this one. Does not keep liquid as cold and also bought two more (to avoid shipping charges on such inexpensive items), not realizing that they are not useful fir cold beverages at all. Poor descriptions in advertising (as well).

Quality is down

The bottle is fine, the top... just... who designed this? Did you actually *use* it after you designed it? The bottle holds liquid as long as you rotate the nozzle to closed. If you leave the nozzle in the open position, it leaks. It does it on my mountain bike and my road bike on smooth pavement. The solution is to leave the nozzle in the closed position but then the nozzle is so hard to operate, you have to stop the bike, open the nozzle, take a drink, close the nozzle, put the bottle back in the holder and take off again.

I get that level of functionality out of a bottle at half the price so I'll be going to cheap bottles.

The design on this new nozzle is nothing short of atrocious. I guess form over function is the name of the game.

Please Go Back to Previous Top

The basic bottle is what you'd expect from a water bottle, but the design is actually pretty stupid-----the 'nozzle' is recessed close to an inch and is about 1/2" in diameter. This means your water bottle nozzle can collect a good load of road dirt, goose droppings, etc. which will all be handily dispensed into your thirsty mouth with the first squeeze of water! :S A 'plain, old-fashioned' water bottle is covered or at least does NOT have a gaping pit to collect road debris which cannot be removed neatly or cleanly without wasting water!!

Nice construction, TERRIBLE design, no instruction

A disaster! The first bottle lasted less than 2 months. I nearly choked on the valve which dislodged when taking a drink. Fortunately I was at home and spat everything out on the floor. Rebel replaced the bottle and this one has lasted 2 weeks, when I dropped it and the entire internal mechanism (grey thing and valve) dislodged into the bottle. So I will be seeking a refund. Very disappointing as I loved my 2 old style Camelbaks I bought 8-9 years back, but thru constant use the drinking flap no longer closes. Bring back the old system!
