The fireplace mantel piece is beautifully made, solid wood. we get compliments from friends how beautifull it is.

We are retired and it took about 2 1/2 hours to assemble; instructions were not easy to see, however everything lined up perfectly. The finish of the Oak Cherry is quite dark with more red than it looked online but very pretty.

Love it, packed really wel, instructions was easy, on one set of the blocks I had to use one wood screw in each block because the long screw was just not long enough and don't tighten screws until together so everything will be straight when you do tighten.

Electric Fireplaces Direct

This electric fireplace is the next best thing to the real thing!  Alone, I was able to put the whole thing together in 75 minutes.  Everything fit perfectly.  Wonderful quality, real looking electric flames.  Love the flame options from low to high (5 settings) as well as a light inside the fire box and life like smoke-type  options.  I was very hesitant about electric fireplaces, but this looks real! (It looks more real than the photos are showing.) The whole thing looks like it was built into my home.  I couldn't be more happy!!!

Absolutely gorgeous electric fireplace!

We absolutely love this piece. The wife wanted to hang our childrens stockings somewhere in our new house so this was what I came up with. It was very easy to put together. Just a heads up and put the whole thing together with all the screws just hand tight so you can still have a little movement in the pieces to get everything lined up perfect then tighten all the way down. Also this was much bigger than i thought which is a good thing.

This fireplace is even nicer than I thought it would be. The heater works great and the look of it looks like a built in and that it was part of the original house. Couldn't be happier!!

Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works great the only thing underneath the mantle a piece of wood was broken!

I wanted a substantial piece - depth, width and height. This is it. Walmart had the best price for this Callaway Grand Electric Fireplace. It arrived in the anticipated time frame - about a week after ordering - the day after Thanksgiving. I put it together by myself in about an hour. Instructions, hardware, tools, etc. all there and so easy. Sturdy and looks beautiful. 
The reasons for 4 rather than 5 stars: 
The "heat" from this unit will not heat the room it's in. I was hoping I could use it to warm my Living/Dining room - but it doesn't make an impact at all. It's fairly large room, but you have to stand right in front of it to feel the warmth. I live in the north east - and it's been snowy and chilly since it's been installed.  Maybe if outside temps were in the 40s or 50s this fireplace might warm this room up - but not when temps are below 30.  It's strictly for the fireplace effect, ambiance and having a mantle to decorate!!  
The other issue I have is with Real Flame. WHY would you put a sticker on the front glass that won't easily peel off? Newsflash: There are materials out there that easily peel off glass. Please, please. please change the product you use for the caution sticker so that it comes off easily with no mess.  It took me almost as long to remove the sticky mess left from the sticker on the "firebox" as it did to put the mantle together. I used goo-be-gone, WD-40 (after seeing another reviewers post) and acetone. It was finally the acetone that had the best results - together with an old credit card (plastic so it didn't scratch the glass - another previous reviewers suggestion!) But protect the mantle base (I dropped a piece of paper towel with the acetone on it on the base and didn't see it right away - it started to remove/ruin the painted surface :-( ). Then the goo-be-gone got the remainder of the mess off the surface. 

All-in-all I love this electric fireplace.
