The box had minor damage to one corner but the piece inside took so little damage I just put that up against the wall. You will never see it. I will be ordering another very soon.

Easy but buy some wood glue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids toys and games were all over the place...I couldn't even walk!  So wanted something to organize, store, and neaten up the place.  The ClosetMaid open bookcase is the perfect addition to help!  The bookcase is about 55" x 27", with cubes measuring 13" x 13" x 13".  I got bins from a local store that slide in and out. Just be sure to get the right size bins, as while 11"x11" will work, I think the 13"x13" fit better.  The bookcase can be place with the long side vertical or horizontally. I chose horizontal so I have more counter space. Assembly was a breeze...10 min.  Build quality seems strong, and I expect the unit to hold up well over time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The The Ames Company, Inc. - ClosetMaid LLC - ClosetMaid 9 Cube Wood Stackable Open Bookcase Display Shelf Organizer, in White was the perfect Addition for extra storage in my craft room! I love that these shelves can be combined and stacked with other cube shelves. The shelf was super easy to build and seems pretty sturdy. And the white color just gives the room a clean look.

Worked well for me in a cut out in the closet that I was able to set it up and create that extra storage.  The cube shelves are helpful whether you get the cubes to put in, or use the shelving for other items such as shoes or clothes in a closet.  I can easily see the unit being used for other areas in the home as well such as family rooms and play rooms to make extra storage space.  Fast and easy to assemble with only one person involved.

Clearance is ready

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate the modern aesthetic of the ClosetMaid 4583 bookcase. While its assembly proved a bit challenging and required two people, the end result is a beautiful and functional storage organizer. However, be cautious during construction, as the pressed wood edges can crack easily. Overall, it's a stylish addition with ample space for light to medium weight books.

Modern look

Ordered two of these cube organizers to put in my sewing room----they have the most poorly diagramed instructions---believe we were missing 4 dowels so we had to borrow from the second and will have to go to the hardware store tomorrow---there is no excuse for these poor instructions....oh wait....saving $$$$$---never buy from this company again because it is so frustrating---once we got it all together, it feels sturdy---lets see how it holds up!

Diagram Nightmare!

The AMES Companies

Looks nice in the store but it's junk. Step 1 of the assembly guide is incorrect with regard to where the finished edge is. Also the parts list in step one makes it look like you need a 30mm wooden pin because the diagram length matches the pin size. You need the longer pin. I did better without using the directions. The back piece isn't quite wide enough to stretch all the way across the back. As a result the nails are too close to the side edges and spilt the junk particle board. You need to dip the pins in water to activate the glue but it didn't seem to get sticky. Just wet. This is going back. Don't waste your time with this garbage.

Wish I could give zero stars!!
