I LOVE these shakers. They are nice looking, easy to tell quantity inside due to clear shaker, well made, nice smooth grind on both the salt and pepper. I was so happy to find these. I had some nice ones for over 20 years and needed new ones. I bought another brand and they were not good. Did not grind well, did not adjust the grind well. These Cole & Mason grinders are perfect. Easy to adjust the grind, easy to refill.

I've been on a quest to replace my beloved pepper mill that I've had for over 20 years.  I tried Williams-Sonoma house brand and a Peugeot model.  Neither one delivers, or allows proper grind change, very disappointing.  So far, my Cole and Mason grinds evenly and generously, and is very adjustable.  Very pleased!

Finally!!

I'm pleasantly pleased with the performance of the Cole and Mason Derwent salt and pepper grinders. Not only do the look great but they perform extremely well. I was looking at some more expensive ones and some that are advertised as the best, but after reading a few reviews from those who bought the Cole and Mason Derwent's I decided to give them a try and I would highly recommend these to anyone.

The Best for Less..Cole and Mason Derwent Grinders

I have been in search for a grinder set that delivers.  The challenge I have is that 99% of grinders spit out a few specs of pepper with every turn.  I then find myself turning the grinder 50 times to actually get the amount of pepper I want in the dish I am making.  This grinder throws out a tremendous amount of pepper with each turn.  I was actually shocked by how much pepper comes out.  I know this set it a bit more expensive than others out there but worth every penny.

This is the grinder set you are looking for!!!

The grinders are superior to any we have owned. With barely a turn, the perfect amount of pepper, with a precise grind setting, seasons food. We like the varied settings that are so useful for preparing different recipes. The reviews were excellent and we were not disappointed.

East to fill, easy to turn

Bought the cole & mason derwent salt & pepper mill set back in 2019. Absolutely love it. Bought another set so I could give the older set to my daughter.

Great Christmas present

Beautiful vessels for starters. Very nice to arrive filled with salt and pepper. I have only used for about 10 days now. Both S and P grind finely and smoothly on all settings. The reason I have only a 4 rating is that I would have liked a courser option too.

Pepper shaker works well. However salt    Does not work well. Cannot adjust or rotate the grind size. Lucky that it's stuck on the small size grind that we prefer.

We've had this set for about 6 months. The salt mill was replaced because the top kept coming off when you picked it up, spilling salt everywhere. The set is beautiful and functions well, but has one fatal flaw -- it leaves a mess of salt and pepper everywhere. No matter how careful you are, any time you set it down on a surface, salt and pepper fall from the bottom of the mill onto the table. I am so tired of wiping away piles of salt and pepper granules from every surface in my kitchen. I would not recommend this set solely for this reason.
