Got this cooler for a Christmas present and it was well-received for sure! It is a replacement for my parents' Coleman cooler they have had for about 15 years. Their first held up well, so we have high expectations for this new one as well!

We love our new cooler! It's easy to carry and easy to drain. The colour is really nice and it's very sturdy without being too heavy. Lots of room for a weeks worth of food for our camping trip. We didn't find that ice lasted for more than 2 days but that depends on how much stuff is inside/how many times you're opening the cooler etc. so we were fine to keep buying ice every 3rd day. I would highly recommend this cooler at such a great price!

Love our new cooler!

First and foremost, the ice in this cooler does last for the 5 days, but not only that, once the ice melts the water stays cold for 2 to 3 days as well. It is made very well, and the coleman name says it all! It also has awesome slide handles, and i got a super deal! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for this item!

Let the party begin!

We needed a cooler that would keep meals frozen, other foods cold for a multi-day car trip to our vacation rental. The new Coleman 316 was perfect. After 3 days in the car, ice and meals were still frozen on arrival. In fact, the Coleman still had ice 5 days into the vacation. Between performance and reasonable price, this was a perfect purchase for us.

Water comes out the top too easily. Wish it had a rim sealer.

Good ice chest

We bought this cooler because Coleman has been around for yrs and the description said it would hold ice up to 5 days in 90 degrees. Not true! We have the cooler in our kitchen where the temp stays at 73 degrees and it will keep ice for only 2 days. Great exaggeration!

Doesn't keep ice for 5 days as stated. Temps were only in 50's and 60's.

Consumer Care

Cooler itself is okay, but handle is actually pulling out of the side of cooler.  We hadn't used it, until today and my husband noticed it.  It won't be long until the handle completely pulls out of the side, at which point I don't know how we would carry it.

Damaged on arrival

It went back-- too big.

As a 5'6" woman, I found this cooler about 4 inches too wide to actually carry, especially when full. I often camp for 5-7 days at a time with the family, so while this held a lot of food initially, as the food was consumed, it left too much air space and would warm too quickly. Too big to lug around when full, and too big to be functional once there's a reasonable amount of contents.

Terrible cooler. The lid flops open and starts tearing the screws out before getting any use out of it. Coleman dropped the ball on these “marine” coolers. Transported it to the Bahamas and gave away to a resident. Lid is also barely capable of holding an adult. Ridiculous.
