I had my doubts when I first purchased these but I needed something right away and the price was right. Turns out, I'm highly satisfied. These are great. They're microwave and dishwasher safe and the perfect size for lunches or a light dinner. I accidentally dropped one and expected it to shatter into shards of glass. I've owned - and accidentally dropped - Corning plates in the past and they shattered. I'd be finding slivers and shards for days, even after sweeping and mopping the floor. But this plate survived intact. Yay! Maybe Corning has changed their manufacturing process. Don't know, don't care. I was just thrilled that I didn't have to sweep and mop my kitchen floor! Thank you, Corning!
It would be nice to have a few options besides just plain white. And it would be nice if the square plates came in a dinner plate size as well.  But overall I am very satisfied.

I have loved Corelle dinnerware for decades! They are thin, lightweight, durable, and microwave-friendly. I was delighted when the square plates came out because they give more area for larger appetites as well as using them as serving plates. They hold up without chipping or cracking for years!
I would love to see them come out with other solid colors. I have the all white set after owning past sets with color designs on white.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Theses plates are great! Perfect size for lunch or a smaller dinner. Also helps keep your dinner portions smaller, so you don't fill a larger plate full. Over the years my four children broke several of ours. So happy to see they are sold individually so I could just replace them and not buy a whole set.

I was surprised at how pretty they are… love the clean white look and more modern square plus they are dishwasher and microwaveable safe…. Plain white also allows mixing with other colors for holidays

Lightweight but very durable

These plates are corelle so they're light weight which works well for me, a senior citizen. The size is right for lunch or dinner depending on what you are serving. Most people like to cut back on portions so this plate will help them. I absolutely love these plates!

Solid white lunch plate. I like the look, size, dishwasher and microwave safe. This size is perfect for lunch or dinner! Also they stack nicely.

Corelle is the only dish I will buy because it doesn't scratch on wood surfaces.  I like the square for a more modern feel and prefer plain white so the food is the main focus rather than a design on a plate.  Wanted to buy 6 but @ the time they only had 4 so I bought the 4 as I have 6 of the larger and 6 of the smaller.  I prefer this size as my dinner plate so it looks like I have a full plate.

Modern and Simple

While l I love the unusual square shape of these dishes and the fact they are made of Corelle, I was very disappointed in the color quality of the dishes in the set.     Supposedly uniformly "pure"  white, the dishes were different shades of gray and white.    The large plates and bowls (made in US) were true uniform white;    the smaller plates  (made in US) were one unattractive gray shade and the mugs (made in China) were a different shade of gray.       In other words in the 16 piece dinnerware  1/2 the dishes, from 2 countries, were not the same color;  more, when placed side by side on a table the gray dishes did not appear--and should not--belong.       After looking at the same pure white pattern in three different stores, I saw the same color flaw.     For this reason I rejected both sets  and will no longer shop for Corelle all white dishes.      I may buy a Corelle pattern with border color which may detract from the gray variations,  but until Corelle improves the quality of its white dishes,  I would not recommend anyone buy a set of all white Corelle.
