Nice to have a seat available when granddaughters visit without all the hassle. Very comparable to their current car seats , but way less expensive. Two cup holders are great for toddlers and hard to find in this price range. After much research, happy with purchase.

Seat for Grandmother's Car

Perfect for my grandson and the sizing will work for quite a while.  Neat and clean. Price was reasonable.  It was a little hard to get into the car correctly, as I think they all are, but I don't take it in and out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I babysit my 1 yr old nephew...and I'm always running errands with him...this came in just in time...The previous one I was using was a bulky and a HEAVY car seat...It was such a pain to get it out if the car...So I was really happy when I received the Cosco convertible car seat...It is not heavy at all...When I took it out of the box I only had to use one hand! I am not a strong person lol...It's so lite weight too...and the best part the padding is removable...and could be washed....It also has 2 cup holders...I chose the gray color...and it is a nice color...The only thing I didn't like was that it had a factory smell to it...It doesn't help I have a sensitive nose...But it's not a horrible smell...just sprayed it with a lil febreez and smell was gone...I definitely recommend this product...I am a happy aunt :)

Great car seat :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Check out this Costco Car Seat! At first glance, I instantly loved this car seat! The rich berry color is beautiful and really stands out. The material is super durable and one of it's great features includes super easy cleanup. Yes..this car seat has a machine washable seat pad to help you keep baby's messes all cleaned up! There is always something that requires washing when you have a baby. My granddaughter will sometimes spit up or her bottle will drip milk, or sometimes her diaper may leak. This car seat enables me to remove the cover and wash it. I absolutely love that feature! Another great feature is it has cup holders on each side which enables me to put some toys there to keep her busy...at least until she gets a little older, then we will be able to put drinks in it. It easily fits in the back seat of my car and will carry my granddaughter for up to 50 pounds! It has a side impact protection feature which makes me feel very safe as I drive her around in my car. If you are looking for a great car seat for your baby, I would recommend this one! Style, comfort, convenience, protection and being able to keep it clean are just options any mother cannot pass up!

Great value for the money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a grandmother who is using the Cosco APT 50 car seat for my three-year-old granddaughter. Car seats are not easy to properly install, as most people know whether they put car seats in once and leave them or have to change seats from car to car. But the directions were very extensive and clear. Unfamiliar parts were identified pretty easily from the sketches provided. The directions were clearly identified to install facing front or facing rear. The weight and height limits were easy to find. So keep these directions!! You will need them later when having to make adjustments as your tiny rider grows!
The good thing for me is that since I do have to move it often, the car seat is very lightweight. I could carry it with one hand.
The blue color was what the granddaughter wanted, so that's what she got! She loves the two cup holders… so do I. No frozen lemonade on the seats. The color runs true to the pictures online and has black accents that look nice with the harness straps. The cover is foam-backed synthetic fiber, and I can see that it should be easy to wash, though it will take some untangling to take it off because of the harness. That is true of any car seat cover.
On the negative side, the seat is molded plastic with a thin foam cover, so it is like sitting in one of those stackable plastic chairs. With the car seat facing forward, there are two very deep, 2-inch wide indentations on the front edge where the child's legs hang over the front. (See photos if they are attached.) The car seat cover is not thick enough to smooth this over. I couldn't stand it. I imagine it would be like an adult sitting leaned back in a slatted chair with slats 3 inches apart. That can't be comfortable. So I rolled pieces of flannel to fill in the indentations. Then I took a blanket, folded it twice and made my own pad for the bottom and back of the seat. No complaints from the granddaughter and that is important, as long as she is safe.

Lightweight but not plush

I bought this seat for my newborn and one as a back up seat in my husbands truck for my almost 2 year old. Even though.m my newborn meets the requirements, the straps wouldn't get tight enough or pass the pinch test when she would first use it. After a few weeks of growing the straps now get tight enough and pass the pinch test. My 2 year old fits nicely in this seat as well and seems to be comfortable and enjoy being in it. He doesn't have much more room to grow with it though As he is right around 30 pounds and tall and the  extra strap tail is awfully short now.  Overall it's a good seat but a little iffy for new borns.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I definitely will recommend this car seat. This is the only one car seat where my daughter can sleep comfortably, without bending her neck. Side impact feature is awesome, my daughter is big for her age, but this car seat fits perfectly! Her weight is 40 lb right now. Seat pad removes easily for washing and have very nice to touch fabric, plus this fabric is really good for hot summer days and the color(i got hot pink) is very bright, even after washing. And the padding thickness is just right. The seat is so easy to get her in and out of, and she falls asleep without any trouble. This car seat have TWO cups holders, one on each side, and yes, we use both at a time! Overall, my daughter loves it. Its very spacious and she seems very comfortable in it. The only minus is the buckle is kinda hard to press, which is also good, because my daughter can't get out of the seat by herself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a beautiful bright blue washable cover car seat which is easy to install. Our grandson hates it. He is 17 months old and absolutely screams every time he is in it because he sits at a near full recline. We have read the booklet, turned the seat in every direction trying to find a way to adjust the angle but it is not adjustable. The child sits deep into the seat and is unable to sit in an upright position preventing him from seeing anything but the sides of the seat and forward. We have a Graco seat that is similar but it sits more upright and is adjustable. This car seat has a machine washable cover but it is thin and the seat is hard. There isn't much padding anywhere on this seat. The Graco seat in another vehicle has very heavy/thick padding which feels much more comfortable. Car seats are a required item however a comfortable car seat is more important to the child. I could not recommend this seat!
