[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disclaimer: I received this product complimentary of the Spark Reviewer program opinions are 100 percent my own.

I have always been a fan of the Cosco brand. The Scenera NEXT car seat keeps your child safer with its side impact protection which is built into the headrest. It also comes with the five-point harness (which is highly recommended by pediatricians) that adjusts easily from the front of the seat. It contains the harness features five heights and three buckle locations which assures the best fit to your growing child. This car seat is universal and can be used in any chosen vehicle, even an airplane. Its lightweight and compact design allows for easy carrying without weighing you down. The seat cover comes in a wide range of styles and colors, all which remove from the seat and are both machine washable and dryer safe. The car seat straps are easy to reassemble as well as the seat cover. This car seat can either be rear-faced (5-40 pounds) or forward-faced (22-40 pounds).

I highly recommend this product if you looking for a high quality car seat that your child could grow in.

Pros: Easy adjustable straps, built in side impact protection, five-point harness, lightweight, universal

Cons: Not applicable.

Convertible Car Seat

walmart.com

I bought this car seat for a specific purpose, so I'm basing my review on that. I needed something lightweight and slim to use on an airplane and while traveling. The scenera came highly recommended for that. It's extremely basic, and not what I would prefer for every day use in the car. However, if you're on a budget, it would be just fine. But 10/10 for a travel seat.

Lightweight seat for travel

As of now i love it today was my first time using it for my 1yr old and she seems to love it also cause she's not sitting low like she was in her newborn carseat. I had to get on youtube to see how to fix the straps for her size and how to loose and tighten them and everything worked out just fine. Also i had to really tighten the seat down in my vehicle with the vehicle belt because it was moving but once i got it tight it didnt move at all

I love it

I bought this seat to keep in my car for my granddaughter. I pick her up every weekend and moving seats from car to car is just inconvenient. This seat is lightweight but still does its job. Not to mention the seat that she has in her mom's car is super heavy and a pain to carry back and forth! I'm very satisfied with this purchase!

Perfect

I bought this specifically for traveling, but will probably also use it as the 2nd car seat for my husband's truck (so we don't have to move the bigger/bulkier car seat out of the family car when taking his truck). But this was perfect for traveling!! It's extremely lightweight so it's easy to carry around (I use a car seat bag/backpack) & install/uninstall in airplanes/taxis/shuttles/etc. And it's the perfect size for an airplane! You can even put the armrest down. My son (16 mos) was comfortable in it & fell asleep almost every time he was in it. And it was quick & easy to install with seat belts (I don't usually bother with the latches when traveling by taxi etc). I prefer a few more bells & whistles for a primary car seat, but for a 2nd, more portable car seat at an affordable price, this was exactly what I needed & I would absolutely recommend it!!

Perfect smaller car seat. Great for traveling!

We bought this carseat for a recent vacation, and it was great. We specifically wanted something that was TSA/FAA approved that was also light-weight for our 2-year-old daughter. We used it on the plane (so she doesn't squirm around everywhere), plus used it in our rental car. It was super light and easy to carry through the airport. Plus fit well in the seats on Frontier Airlines.

Light carseat, great for travel

hi i got this but the manufactured date was 2024 and its 2026? other then that looks in good new shape but would of preferred a new one to have lasted longer and gotten my monies worth

The car seat arrived inside a plain box (no mfg labels, only a shipping label). I opened it up and everything looked great (new). There was no unpleasant odors...at first. Then the car seat was installed. It was a hot day. After a few hours we went to use the car and when we opened the doors the horrible smell of rotten fish greeted us. My car is fairly new and we don't eat fish, so I was confused about were the smell was coming from. Then we smelled the car seat. It reeked all over of fish. We had never used the seat prior so I know it wasn't our fault. I didn't want to deal with a lengthy return process and going about getting a refund or exchange. So I just uninstalled the car seat, removed the cover and washed it using a lot of detergent. I've reinstalled the car seat, and there is no longer an odor, even on hot days. But I could never recommend this product to a friend and I would never repurchase. What a horrible experience.

New and smells like FISH when hot

This car seat was delivered to me without a BOX! I have no way of knowing if the car seat was damaged in transport or safe to use now. It was literally delivered in this plastic covering. I am going to have to return this in store now and purchase a different one as I cannot trust that it is safe to use.

Delivered without a box…

The car seat feels very unsafe when installed. The padding is thin and uncomfortable for kids. The straps always always always get tangled and the only way to actually fix it is by uninstalling the seat, rethreading the straps and just crossing your fingers the chaotic magic straps stay in place for your child. The detachable cup holder doesn't stay. The seat fit in the airplane and in taxis but it was big, clunky, and super frustrating to haul around on a cross country trip.

Cheap and it shows

Cosco Kids Scenera Next Convertible Car Seat front 3/4 view of a lightweight convertible child seat; rear-facing 5–40 lb (2–18 kg), 19–40 in (48–102 cm) and forward-facing 22–40 lb (10–18 kg), 29–43 in (74–109 cm). Deep side wings with integrated Side Impact Protection, five-point harness with center-front adjust, UAS-equipped, removable machine-washable pad, aircraft certified.
