Lacking durability and craftsmanship expectations.

Can be bright, but also inconsistent in intensity.

Base has difficulty supporting the pole and umbrella.

Bought this for my daughter-in-law so she could be shaded while outside - she is going through chemotherapy and has to be careful in the sun.  She loves it, as does my son.  Very pleased.  Only drawback is that a heavier base is needed to keep it from flipping over, etc.

I just put this together and it seems to be good quality but it might as well not have instructions. Luckily I think I figured it out on my own. It is 2 pages of little pictures repeated 5 times over with no words. Well actually there is one page with words that I can only assume say something to the effect of not throwing the batteries in the trash because no part of it is in English. I also have an extra piece that isn't in the pictures anywhere so I'm not sure where it should go.?.  You will also need some sort of weights to put on the base so that it will stand when the umbrella is extended, which I don't think was stated anywhere. So have some cinderblocks or bags of sand handy if you want to use it right away.

Good Quality, Terrible Assembly Instructions

The umbrella is very nice, however, it is still in the box.  We cannot put it up because we have to hire someone to install the base in our concrete patio.  My husband and a friend spent over 4 hours just trying to get the base attached to the patio.  Yes, we had the correct tools.  So, if you are not a contractor and only have normal tools ie drill and masonry drill bits, be prepared to pay to have it installed.

Not a dream to install.

The first day I placed the umbrella in its stand and it looked GREAT. That evening the lights can on and I really enjoyed that. The second evening NO LIGHTS at all, we checked the connection and evreything was fine.  Could you send me a replacement on the umbrella?

the base on this umbrella is a cross of 2 metal beams,  once assembled the umbrella tips over! we're going to have to purchase some builder bricks to put on top of them to keep it stable. poor design.

I bought this because it said it comes with a stand, but in order for the umbrella to function properly you need to purchase a separated weighted base

Very easy to assemble BUT the base is worthless, tipping over is constant. I had to purchase a REAL base from the same company for the same cost as the umbrella.

Tipping without a better base purchase is needed.

I liked the umbrella, when it worked; it provided good shade and was somewhat easy to install and use, and I liked the lights.  However, a few things were problematic/failures:  1) the base was no where near adequate to support and keep the umbrella upright... I had to install and screw down my own plates around the base to prevent it from tipping. 2) The manual 'slide' mechanism was often very difficult to manipulate to make the umbrella go open and closed - and seems prone to pinching your fingers.  3) In even mild breezes, the open umbrella would twist from the base shaft, unless I secured the edges of the umbrella to our patio railing, and finally, 4) the top of the umbrella (cloth) came unglued/unscrewed from the connecting plastic  piece (yes apparently it is glued/and or connected with a very small screw, and this was catastrophic - in less than 2 years of  usage, the failure caused the umbrella to drop, and sever the lighting electrical wires, as well as causing the umbrella to fail to open/close any longer (the umbrella cable is all unwound as well). So, since I doubt I could re-glue it to the top and have any confidence, and even if I could, the lighting would no longer be able to work, it is basically garbage at this point.  Looking for another umbrella...

Poor manufacturing -- umbrella failed < 2 years

If I could give this zero stars, I would. It broke after just a few times of opening and closing it and the solar lights never worked. We are unable to close this umbrella. When you turn the handle to roll it down and close it, the fully open umbrella just slides down the pole. Complete garbage.

HORRIBLE PRODUCT

The base is only a T shape not a cross shape.  We have had 2 Offset Umbrella's that each lasted us for 8  years and were replaced due to fabric wearing out!  This one did not last a WEEK!  DON'T BUY THIS!  It is pretty and the lights are really nice but even the plastic that it is constructed of is not strong.  We were outside by the pool today and cement blocks the short side of T lifted and the umbrella went up and plastic snapped and everything came apart!!  Really disappointed at the cheap quality.  Right out of the box my husband said it was not going to last and now I have to listen to the "I told you so!"  I will update my review if they refund us on this.
